About
In the lively and crowded environment of the Central Market of San Lorenzo, in the heart of the city of Florence, was founded the restaurant Za Za, in one of the buildings survived at the time ... Or maybe it's better to say that it is here that still lives: where now Za Za, in fact, since the early nineteenth century there was a small inn. It is 1977 when Stefano Bondi, born at number 18 of the Main Market Square in the old house of aunt Tonina , baptizes with the name Za Za this dining room and open to the public. It was April 7. At that time, Zà Zà was a small restaurant. Stefano Bondi worked with his mother from the beginning. Her role was fundamental in Bondi’s life, as well as being the

We came all the way from Australia to have a good meal at this restaurant. Service was slow! We ordered a Beef Stew for 14 Euro. It was no stew, only pieces of meat with a tiny bit of sauce, nothing else, not even 1...piece of vegetables then they call it a stew?? Dry pieces of bread was put on table beforehand this bread was tasteless. I will never recommend this Restaurant to anyone. Definitely expensive and no value for money. They rip off tourists in Florence!!More

Really cool (and amazingly big) place in the center of Florence. The food is super fresh and delicious, portions are large and the service is great. Definitely recommended :)

If the food would be as good as the decoration! This is a real nice place, cozy, nice waiters, good location, I understand that tourists come here a lot for the scenery. If you love Italian food stay away. It's mass cooking for hundreds of...people. The pasta not even Al Dente, the meat with no taste and chewy, sides to forget. What a pity.More

My husband and I had a memorable meal here 19 years ago and so we were so excited to see that the restaurant was still around. We enjoyed it with our two teenagers..and they wanted to go back there a second time! Once again, our...favorite restaurant in Florence!More

We popped in on the way home after a day out to reserve a table for the evening and they were very accommodating. We sat on the terrace which was very pleasant. The menu is extensive - broken down into different menus - bbq, seafood,...truffles, etc. my daughter is vegetarian and the menu did not disappoint. We had the spaghetti with olive oil and garlic, rigatoni sorretina, omelette with truffle sauce and the pink salmon with caper sauce - all were amazing. We then went onto have the tiramisu (wow!), strawberries in mascarpone sauce (wow!) and the cheesecake (jam on top was Unexpected but the rest was amazing). And all very well priced! Would return and would totally recommendMore

Although this restaurant had come recommended by many people and it got decent ratings on TripAdvisor I would never go back to this restaurant. Definitely a tourist trap. Everything we ordered was dry and mediocre or inedible. Service was average. Do not recommend since there...are so many other good restaurants in Florence.More

Had to queue for about five minutes as we didn’t book ahead. The food was incredible. Reasonable prices and excellent table service. No wonder it has such great reviews.

We spent three days in Florence, went to eat there every day. We tried quite a lot of stuff and everything was incredibly good, didn't even try another restaurant. For the quality, really not that expensive and a good list of wines. Also, the waiters...were always super nice and fun. You can go there at lunch and dinner for a week and not taste everything, lots of choices (and don't forget a good dessert (apple pie or cheesecake), they're surprinsigly even beter !)More

Visited here for lunch as was passing by. The restaurant inside is amazing, so big and unusual! Was worried about this being a tourist trap due to the location but was one of the nicest meals we had in Florence. Would recommend boccalona pasta, if...you like spicy tomato sauce, was Devine! My partner had gnocchi and also a chicken and roast potato dish, both tasty and well presented. Very reasonable too, we had three main courses and water and bread to start for shy of €35More

Very lucky to find this gem on the doorstep of our hotel. Great service and fabulous food for a very reasonable price. Worth pre-booking as it gets busy, definitely worth a visit.

We are French, and this restaurant is big and really delicious ! We arrived without reservation and we wait merely 10min items to be seated. The waiters is really good and fast ! And the dishes were amazing and I say that after a few...trip in Italia and a obsession for food pasta ! That was awesome from the beginning to the end ! (We take the chocolate cake as a desert!) Just Amazing ! 🔥More

The prices are undoubtedly very fair and the portion sizes are great but the food and service is not worth the hype. For those from the US or Canada, I’d put this place on par with eating at an Olive Garden or East Side Mario’s...but with better tasting sauce. Place is huge, servers forget about you and it’s very generic.More
