We were a group of 7 and luckily managed to snag a table without any wait because we got there around 12:20. Extremely pleasant and friendly staff ... They did not rush us and were very helpful with the menu . This place has a limited menu offering awesome fresh home made Tuscan food. We ordered up a storm and... More

We recently dined in this small restaurant after visiting the Mercato Centrale in Florence. We were greeted promptly and placed our order quickly for lunch. I ordered the special of the day, which was gnocchi with a bolognese sauce. The dish was served piping hot and very tasty. Also ordered a small portion of the house white wine which was... More

Simply the best trattoria in Florence. On our 5 day citytrip to Florence we went twice to this trattoria because... it was the best! Even better than our 5* deluxe hotel :)

If you want to eat with the locals and sample proper Florentine cooking then this place is a must. We've eaten here several times on different visits and it's one of our favourite lunch stops. Old fashioned, a small menu that is nothing fancy, but superb tasting fresh food. This visit I had veal's liver and it was simply divine!... More

Great informal lunch place on Piazza San Lorenzo. We had a great lunch with an amazing Bistecca Fiorentina.

Went here for lunch (well.....that's the only option). The reviews are correct - mostly locals, only a few tourists. Very small restaurant that filled up quickly. We got there at 12:30. We had the bistecca - not the cheapest thing on the menu, but similar to what you pay in most restaurants in Florence. Delicious. The other items all looked... More

Conveniently located and a great pit stop/ hide away from the crowds and tourists - food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. Even at 2pm the restaurant was full (with locals) and by 2.30pm they were turning customers away because they had sold out of everything on their menu! The food is simple but delicious and affordable! I... More

A very simple trattoria, but with this incredible Bisteca Fiorentina. The pasta we ordered also were simple and not sofisticated but very very good. Good “house wine”. I really appreciated!

No discussions ! If yoiu are looking for a traditional no frill trattoria toscana Sergio Gozzi in san Lorenzo is the best. You may try all the traditional meals like the pappa al pomodoro or ribolita and the best bistecca fiorentina in town.

Thank carlo v
