Food was great for the price. Worth noting that non Italian speakers may need help with the menu. 1L of rather nice wine for €8 is also a plus!

A local residence recommended this place, it was spot on! very good food, great wine and service! Every plate we ordered was well prepared, tasted and felt as home cooked meal. Desert and espresso were a delight. A good mix of locals and tourist alike, made the place a sure bet, it is better if you call in advance to... More

Trattoria Casalinga serves reasonable priced dishes. Many pasta courses. We had lunch there arriving very hungry after transatlantic flight. Service was quick and very friendly. Our waitress helped us to choose our dishes from the menu. House wine very inexpensive .This place is frequented by locals and could be very busy . Good for lunch especially .Very popular , casual place in Florence.

Family lunchtime meal, great food and I am definitely coming back. Reasonably priced. Popular with working class poeple of the area, which is always a good sign in Italy.

The atmosphere assured me I was in Tuscany. I'm American. No English on menu. The two that appeared to be in charge were 50+, possibly owners. Wonderful experience! We didn't follow the map well and got there just as lunch was closing at 2:30. No problem! These gracious hosts welcomed us. We had the magnificent experience of celebrating with a... More

Recommended to us by some local Italians, we were expecting fresh, delicious italian food. We were disappointed. Caprese salad (8.50) was a whole ball of generic chain supermarket mozzarella (not fresh) thrown on a plate with a tomato and no olive oil. The pasta was not fresh. There were bones in the ravioli sauce. The kitchen staff made several trips... More

We heard the youngest chef in the kitchen is 60, so they obviously know their stuff! And the food we ordered testified to that. I have a pesto pasta 98% of the time in Italy every time I visit, and this place honestly serves the BEST pesto I have ever tasted! The minestrone soup, steak and roast chicken were really... More

This place was recommended to us and was fantastic. The food is proper Italian, with lots of meat options. Would recommend the polpette, which was a bit like a pork meatloaf, but incredibly tender and flavour some. The liver was also really good. The house wine at 8 euro's a litre was excellent value and a good wine on top.... More

We came across this place by chance while wondering around. We didn't have a reservation but they found us a table quickly enough. The restaurant was full and seemed popular with mostly locals. A word of caution is that they do not have a menu in English so be prepared to go the through the options carefully. A lady waitress... More
