Wonderful food, great service, great atmosphere. Have been lucky enough to have eaten in some superb places in my life and this is great for a homely city restaurant - Loved it!

Enjoyed some red wine, cheese and meats here for a stop off. The staff were friendly and lots of choice here. It is set back in a quiet little square but still enough going on around for a good atmosphere. Lots of people watching done here! And very good price! €12 for a bottle of wine?!

We had lunch here and truly loved it. The stuffed zucchini and gnocchi was beautiful. Our waitress was very attentive and looked after us. Would recommend as it is away from the crowds.

Wow... Hard to believe this place has served so many so well. Never have I been so disappointed in customer service. On top of a 2 euro cover charge?!? Two hours of waiting before receiving food? I don't think so... Maybe it would be okay if the managers and multiple different servers had apologized or offered a solution, but they... More

Was going to wait until I got home to Yelp this restaurant but seeing as it's three hours later and I still have not gotten the check I'm doing it from the restaurant itself. Not only did it take 40 minutes to get our order DRINK taken, but once we had finally ordered our meal it took 2 hours to... More

Fantastic atmosphere. Very small restaurant in an out of the way, quiet piazza. Service and food were above average and great value. A great place to escape the crowds and enjoy a quiet dinner in charming surroundings.

My friend and I decided to try the restaurant across the street from where our apartment manager is located. The restaurant helps him when travelers come into town late at night and we like the sharing /helping nature of this relationship. The food also happened to be delicious, reasonably priced and large portions. We shared a grilled meat platter, pear/pecorino... More

Excellent food, great service, friendly staff, perfect location in central Florence, decently priced. We returned many times with great pleasure and our only regret is that we didn't have time to sample the entire menu!

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
