We arrived prior to 12 per recommendations. We sat with another couple, very small space. We had pasta fagioli, vegetable soup, beef fillet and potatoes! Everything was amazing! We shared the fillet it was perfect ! Great price and great food! Don't miss it!

Quaint place... you're seated with other people because the restaurant is so small and so packed. It's really nice though because you get to share your experiences and learn other people's experiences in Italy. The service is fast and efficient. The steak is great with salad and white beans.

We've been to trattoria da Mario in florence suggested by a local friend as a place to eat shoulder by shoulder, making friends and sharing tables. It is a very traditional florence food and it tastes amazing!! I tried tortelini al ragu and it was fantastic, they also have some good wines in a very good price as well. They... More

I never leave reviews because I always feel like people just get on to complain, but today I had the best meal of our entire trip at Mario's and I felt the need to sing some praise. It's a little, cozy place that I might have walked right by... But I'm so glad we didn't. The food was amazing and... More

Arrive before noon to hope for an early seating. The menu changes and is taped to the kitchen window. There is no room for extras so do not show up with bags if you can help it. You will be sat with strangers -- get over it, it adds to the experience that is Mario's. Everyone is there for good... More

We had lunch there. The place was totally crowded and we had to share table with another couple. We ordered a 1 kg bistecca which was super tasty, good quality and well cooked. A new experience for us. Very recommendable. You should expect to pay around 25E/person

The restaurant was totaly crowded, the staff seated us to a table for four with other couple already sitting there. The waiter was quick, took care of our drinks swiftly and then we waited for Fiorentina steaks that we ordered. One can watch the cook preparing the meat and roasting it. We took French fries as a side dish. The... More

We came here to try one of the most famous dishes in Firenze - Bistecca Fiorentina. As we read a lot of positive reviews about this place and it fit our budget and plan for the day we decided to try Mario's Trattoria. After we arrived the owner (Fabio who is the son of the founder Mario) took our names... More
