Walked by here on the way back to the hotel from the Piazzale Michelangelo. Not fancy, a local place, but I had a delicious pear, walnut, and honey salad. Pleasant service, cute little sidewalk cafe area.

Had a nice, fairly priced pizza with family. Pizza with buffalo mozzarella and fresh tomatoes was very good. Coffee wasn't top notch. Friendly staff. Perfect for anybody who just want something quick and get on with the day.

This restaurant is just around the corner from the apartment we are renting and after a long day of walking we liked the idea of dining close by, and our landlord suggested it. There is a nice covered outdoor area and since it was a warm night we choose to sit there -- we arrived early evening but the restaurant... More

We went here with my friends, and they recommended me to try this fagottini pasta. I was not disappointed, it was one of the best pastas I had. The sweet taste of the pears mixed with the strong taste of the cheese sauce, and it gave a perfect combination of the flavours. I highly recommend to taste this pasta in... More

Just been refused service because we only wanted beer! The restaurant was empty but still declined to serve us ... Utterly pathetic and an insult to tourism.

The restaurant interior is nice and cosy. We came to the restaurant a few minutes before official opening hour and was greeted by the friendly staff. I ordered the salami pizza which was delicious, and a glass of the red house wine, which was an OK match to the pizza. My friend ordered the marinara pizza and some roasted potatoes... More

I went there for the mussels, which were fresh, but the broth was overly salty. I was thirsty for hours afterward. Pizza is definitely their forte. In my opinion, there are better places to eat Tuscan fare for the same amount spent.

Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighborhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
