We spent a few days in Firenze, staying at Fiesole and wanted to have dinner in a authentic place with genuine Italian dishes. Da Ganino was really the place to be! I loved the pacheri all'orta and their house wine was excellent. 2 days later, we went back again and I took the tagliolini with truffles. Gorgeous!! My husband took... More

It has a casual atmosphere with friendly staff. The food is delicious. Our family ordered pasta dishes, salad, meatballs (OMG good), prosciutto w/melon. It was so good we went there again for our last night as we kept replaying that first meal in our minds.

It used to be one of my favorites in the 90's when I came on business. It's still excellent - the location is super - the outside tables are cozy and the servers are fantastic. Pastas are great and so was a slow cooked pork dish. Didn't disappoint in 2016!

If you want to enjoy great Italian pasta. We recommend this restaurant right in the heart of Florence. We enjoyed the Tagliatelle Ragu with cold beers. It is a great place to eat on a hot day especially on the patio with the misty water cooling you off as you eat. A cover charge or tips are included in the... More

Really delicious. Seating outside is tight. Service is meh. Pasta is fresh and beer is on tap. Came late, near to closing one night, and was not refused. Came back before sundown and right before seating outside was to capacity and had a very nice meal.

This place has a beautiful terrace, I ate a ravioli with a ricotta filling and butter sauce for lunch. Pasta tasted home made, filling was very tasty. Also ordered a bottle of Tuscany wine. The wine was ok, but not as a standard I expected. Overall experience was good.

We were given this recommendation by a local and are glad we went. We enjoyed our meal very much but I want to make sure I mention the incredibly perfect fresh pasta with all of the wonderful grated fresh truffle on it. All that for just 15 euros. Back in the states that little dish would have been $75

We stumbled across this lovely trattoria whilst looking for somewhere to eat and were immediately drawn in by its lovely atmosphere! The food looked wonderful so we waited for around half an hour for a table- definitely worth it! Prices are mid range but insanely good for the quality of pasta! We had spaghetti carbonara, which was a huge portion... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
