Just needed a drink and lunch after having a walking tour in this wonderful city. Great find so friendly and the home baked bread and various snacks were wonderful. Very quaint place and also very inexpensive. Well worth a visit I wish they had something similar in UK

We stumbled upon Verrazzano after all day in Florence! They have take away that is cheaper but we were tired and wanted a glass of wine and a light afternoon snack. This was amazing!! They have their own wines from their vineyard in Greve. They are in expensive and delicious. We also had their Sicilian Tuna salad and their toast... More

Visited here with our one-on-one guide and she brought us to her own favorite, associated with a great wine estate nearby. We ran into the owner as we arrived and he was leaving to bicycle his way into the hills and vineyard. It was closing time, but we were welcomed and shown through the bakery at the front (amazing sweets,... More

I popped in here for a slice of pizza with cherry tomatoes. Very tasty. Good quick service. The desserts looked delicious but I restrained myself. Seating on wooden benches along the wall across from the display case. Clean toilet.

The food was excellent and the service was good, I had the tripe which was simply the best I've ever had. Being Italian, our family used to make that dish once in a while and I always loved it. Too many years had passed since I've had it so It was special for me. My wife and I enjoyed the... More

We stumbled upon this place after a tour in Florence. We were pretty hungry, it was raining, and everyone was slightly grouchy. SO glad we went in and ordered! The pizza was wonderful and such a welcome treat! The wine was perfect with our meal. Service was prompt, friendly, and professional. Very charming and clean inside.

We went to this Wine Bar on recommendation of a tour guide from Artviva who told us it was a good place to purchase a good olive oil to take home. We bought the oil and then decided to stay and have dinner! One of my favorite evenings in Florence. Just a lovely spot with lovely people and wonderful food!!... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
