We had the tasting menu. It was superb - modern Tuscan cooking, adventurous but true to its roots. By far the best meal we had, with excellent, knowledgeable service. Best of all, it was full of Florentines.

I was at the Taste Food Show. Last thing you want to do in the evening is eat, again. Unless, of course you go to Ora d'Aria. It was an incredible experience. Everything we had was really good.

We choose this restaurant as our special treat during a four-night stay in Florence, and it did not disappoint. We went for the four-course set menu for 50 euros each (but ended up spending far more on drinks - although bottles of wine started from about 25 euros). The home-made breads and appetisers were delicious, and then the real four... More

We live in Florence and took two American friends there yesterday. Everyone exclaimed about the quality of the food, the wonderful half-portion ("tapas") options, our charming, bilingual server, the elegant yet comfortable and pleasing surroundings, the perfect bathroom facilities. We all chose the half-portions (which might be considered too small by some but were perfect in our book), had a... More

Very hit or miss. My wife and I both ordered from their tasting menu. Some offerings were superb while others were really just average. Service effort was strong but at times flawed.

We visited Ora D'Aria with my wife at the end of our five day trip to Florence, and it was a great way to finish our short autumn vacation. We were the first and only clients at the restaurant for about half an hour in the evening, so the three waiters concentrated wholly on us at the beginning. They were... More

Florence was in our honeymoon itinerary and for our one-night stay, we had reserved a table for two people at Ora d'Aria. I had read interesting reviews about this restaurant and I was curious and eager to share there the experience of a dinner with my newly wed spouse. The restaurant is located in a quiet street, not quite in... More

Description
If you fancy a break from the hustle and bustle of Florence, take the plunge and book yourself a table at Ora d'Aria in the Via Ghibellina. Decorated in shades of vanilla, this elegant restaurant is a welcome escape from the tourist trail, and Head Chef Marco Stabile has created a menu which features the best culinary traditions from the region. Sit back and relax as dishes such as the spaghetti with cuttlefish drizzled with extra virgin olive oil; Piedmontese steak with garlic chips and panzella salad; and black cod with a Tuscan bean and onion salad give you an authentic taste of Tuscany in stylish surrounds. Ora d'Aria's impressive wine list features an excellent selection of Tuscan and French wines.

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
