Ranked highly by Trip Advisor and down the street from out hotel, L'Osteria di Giovanni did not disappoint. My wife loved her Pasta Carbonara.

My wife and I have visited Giovanni's many times over the years. It has been always crowded, always noisy and always great. Besides the tourist trade it is also a go to place for many Italian families who often occupy long table with two or...More

Customer service was attentive and personable. Our waitstaff provided helpful guidance in ordering from the menu, and brought us additional appetizers and cookies at the end of our meal. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant during your stay in Florence.

Eating vegan was easy in Florence with so many pasta and vegetable options. This is not a vegan restaurant, but wait staff was very accomodating and steered us towards dishes that were "accidentally" vegan--soup, pasta, bread, wine. Cozy and friendly. Popular place and became crowded so...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

At L’Osteria di Giovanni we not only maintain strict allegiance to traditional Tuscan dishes (including many antique recipes that are not commonly used these days), but we also experiment with new flavours and combinations, whilst remaining faithful to local and season produce. Popular new dishes include smoked duck breast on rocket salad and dressed in balsamic vinaigrette, tortelli stuffed with pear and pecorino, with leek and paprika sauce, pici with sausage and kale, and lamb slow-cooked with artichokes. We stronly believe that your restaurant experience should be unique and satisfying on every front. We look forward to welcoming you one day to L'Osteria di Giovanni.
