Great!

I went with my wife and we had a great experience. The place is simple, noisy but nothing that bothers. The food is great and the desserts were delicious. It is a "must go" place.

We have visited 4 times over the last 3 years and the food and wine have been great each time. Try the pork, sausage and pastas. All are great and the staff gives excellent service.

A real no nonsense intimate eatery serving good quality regional, classic Tuscany dishes at a very reasonable cost. Florence is full of restaurants that serve the usual tourists food so, to find this little gem was a prize.

My second visit to this restaurant. The first booked months in advance by a friend who had worked in Florence, and literally ached to come back here. It was the most stunning dinner. Gusty Italian/ Tuscan, with beans and enormous portions of the most perfectly cooked beef imaginable. Surroundings are simple ,nobody dressed up these are local people coming for seriously... More

You could be forgiven for walking past this restaurant situated on a quiet side road sandwiched between the river and Piazza Santa Croce. There is nothing fancy on the outside that gives away the culinary delights that await inside. We had eaten at 2 very nice trattoria 's on previous evenings, but this beat them. And I reckon it would... More

Two sittings for a home style meal has gotta be good! That they were. Very reasonably priced and tasty food. Perhaps some of the side dishes (contorni) may have been a little overcooked but they were tasty nevertheless. Good, wholesome, hearty meals to be had.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a tour operator as a low-key place to enjoy bistecca Fiorentina, and this is one recommendation that was spot on! We dined there for lunch in late November and enjoyed the bistecca as well as the excellent pappa al pomodoro. We couldn't decide on one dessert so the waitress brought us half of... More

This is just far enough away to keep it more local than touristic, and that helps. This was perhaps the most clearly Florentine meal we had over the week, and we would definitely return.

This restaurant is very central being at the Uffizi end of Corso Tintori, in fact a few minutes walk from most main attractions. We went twice, once right at the end of their lunch time and once at the beginning. Both times we were welcomed and seated without reservations. This place is larger than first glance would make you think,... More
