We booked this place on the strength of an article in a British newspaper - Guardian, I think. To be fair, the TA reviews were mixxed, so I should have been warned! Very much an authentic and traditional place - but that doesn't necessarily mean...More

I recommend the restaurant where I have had one of the best meals of my life: "Fiorentina" steak (1.4kg) accompanied by "Brunello di Montalcino" wine. I also love the venue, whose timber decor make the guests feel cosy.

Del Fagioli was a very nice evening where the staff were accommodating, polite, and genuinely proud of their food. They have every reason to be. Highly recommended.

This is what tourists dream finding- authentic cuisine that locals frequent. I think we were the only tourists on the night. Ignore the negative reviews from overbearing American tourists. Here are the suggestions we tried. Primi piati: Tortelli and Tagliolini both pasta (ask for description...More

Was recommended this restaurant by a friend and was extremely pleased we visited. Amazing Florentine cuisine where staff were very patient in explaining the menu to us. The food was delicious and is one of most favorable meals to date. Make sure you try it...More

This place is small and unassuming with a traditional Florentine atmosphere. I have eaten here twice and hope to return. They have great steaks and their tortelli, crostini and ribolitta are wonderful.

We discovered this restaurant a few years ago and we make sure we go back every time we are in Florence and this time was no different. We had a dinner of pasta and veal chop that was incredible. The food and serve are always...More

Great restaurant! We were looking for a traditional Italian restaurant and we found it. You need to make a reservation and they have 2 seatings (7:30 and 9:15) - we booked ours the day before and I guess we got lucky because the 7:30 seating...More

We came because we specifically wanted Bistecca Fiorentina and we were told this is their specialty! It was jam packed with people so we are glad we made a reservation. Not overly expensive or fancy for a steak house and it seemed to serve both...More

This is my favorite restaurant in Florence. Family run. Excellent house wine, starters, Florentine soups (ribollita, papa al pommodoro, zuppa di contadino- verdure). PIci is superb. The real strengths are the meats (bistecca, arista maiale, lombatino di vitello, filetino di manzo) and the stews (Spezzatino...More

Santa Croce
Stop and stare at the beauty and symmetry of the
Basilica of Santa Croce any time day or night.
Unraveling around it are a number of architectural and
artistic masterpieces, from the Synagogue to the
Central National Library. As a hub for young people,
the area gets busy with people who want to have fun: a
continuous flow of tourists and locals become animated
by songs and dances.

Hi. Unfortunately I do not think they do take reservations. Best way, in my opinion, would be for you to call on them during the day, saying you would like to eat there, and arrange what time would be fine for both you and... More
