This was the second time we have eaten at this restaurant. We ate here in 2016 and it was great. We were able to get a reservation for New Years Eve for the early sitting. Even though there was another siiting, we never felt rushed....More

A good selection on the menu, lots of yummy local dishes, good service, easy to find. I have eaten here, many times.

This place was recommended by a local businessman. Wonderful authentic food in an ancient building in the Oltrarno district close to the Ponte Vecchio. Ethereal gnocchi, Trippa, Bistecca alla Fiorentino, great vino and service. All of the people we have sent here have come back...More

I have been eating here on various trips for at about 35 years and it continues to be good. Cozy and nice environment. Cool vaulted ceiling. Nice mix of Italians and tourists. Good, really classic food at a reasonable price.

The wild boar and polenta dish that the restaurant specialises is very good. The osso buco was truly dreadful. I ended eating (some) of it because my wife who was intended for could not touch it. Hardly any veal meat on the bone and what...More

Service was lousy. The famous Fiorentina steak was average. The pasta at the table next to us looked good though. And then at the end we questioned the €4 on the bill and it was a cover charge!!! Ridiculous.

We took lunch today. (Sat) we reached around 1:30pm. Not too crowded. 80% of tables are filled. We ordered roast pork, grilled chicken, gnocchi and strozzapretti. All turned out delicious. Food portion was just right. Good meal. Highly recommended.

Very busy when we arrived but had to wait only a couple of minutes to be seated. Tables are relatively small and close to the next table but not so class as to feel claustrophobic. Waiting staff very busy but have the knack of attending...More
