Drunken Spaghetti cooked in red wine!

After looking at a few other places close by we settled on this for our Sunday lunch. Given the place was quickly filling up and it was still early we figured we better not waste too much more time in our decision, and it payed off! The spaghetti cooked in the house red was delicious, and a good... read more

Highly recommended by Fodors (would strongly recommend buying the guide before going to Italy. Consistently great recommendations on sights, hotels & restaurants). Not disappointed at all. Friendly staff, great food and a cozy ambiance. Place is very popular so please make reservations

The carpaccio and two cheese pasta was very good. Small portions but filling. We first ordered the red house wine but it tasted like it was half water. We then asked for the white house wine instead and it was also very watery and bland tasting. I would come back but order a bottle of chianti classico from a year... More

If you can get there early and get a table outside, do it! I have only tried the pasta here, but they've all been delicious.

We always see the mixed reviews and wonder. Maybe it's because we have gone there for nine years and they know us or it's a block from our monthly rental. In any event, nothing fancy, but we love it. A great carbonara and bistecca. If you don't want the entire kg steak, there is an excellent steak salad with rocket... More

Visited this restaurant following strong reviews on TripAdvisor but wasn't as excellent as was hoping for. We ordered pasta dishes for Primi which were enjoyable and steak and chicken with potatoes for secundi. The steak was tasty but drenched in garlic and the chicken was more bone than meat. The service was a bit 'wham bam' as you'd expect sitting... More

Really unfortunate experience -- we'd called for a reservation, showed up on time, and were treated so rudely, we actually left. I do wish I spoke better Italian, but it was crystal clear that the waiter did not want to serve us at all. (It was 8 pm, and not busy.) My party of four women waited over 30 minutes... More

This is a hidden gem in Florence, the pasta is fantastic, the beef tagliata is delicious. Terrific value and friendly service, very very casual - all about the food.

Great pasta. Cooked with flavor and care. Wish it wasn't 37degrees and too hot for beef. The steaks look huge and amazing!

Interesting varied menu of traditional Tuscan fare. We had bruschetta pomodoro to start and prosciutto which was delicious. I had carpaccio and my friend had pasta bolognese which was very good. Followed by tiramisu and lemon sorbet. A litro of the house red, a glass of vino santo and service all came to €40 a head which seemed very reasonable.... More
