We stopped by Le Volpi e L'Uva for a glass of wine one evening. The patio was very pleasant and quickly filled with other travelers. It seemed as though they had a good wine selection, although we each just ordered a glass. I am not sure what separates this from other wine bars throughout the city, but we didn't have... More

Great food and selection of wines !! We order two plates with a selection of cheese and meats (hams), a third plate of bread al forno topped with cheese and sausage, a bottle of water and two glasses of wine and the bill was only 32 euros. We will definitely go back if in Firenze again. Great service and ambience... More

A nice and quiet piazza near ponte vecchio. The staff is super nice and takes time to tell you all about wine! The food (bruschetta) is so tasty and delicious. The prices are reasonable (4,5€ a glass of prosecco) We went there twice and would definitely go back!

Our family of 7 stopped for a simple lunch. We were at the bar and watched the proprietors, seemingly a husband and wife team, take and prepare orders. We tried a number of the crostini on order, as well as the Enselada and the Caprese. It was all outstanding. Beer and wine are also on offer. Prices are very reasonable... More

Tucked away just enough not to be overly packed with tourists, Le Volpi e L'Uva has a great selection of wines and delicious crostini to go with it. Friendly, helpful staff always willing to help you select a wine, if you need it.

I wanted to find a nice wine bar in Florence to taste different Italian wines and came here based on my AirBnB host's reco. What a find! Ciro (one of the owners) is extremely knowledgable about wines from various Italian regions and poured me a flight. Most of his wines are bought direct from small producers and are just a... More

We stopped here one evening for a glass of wine. This place is tucked away, just beyond the Ponte Veccio. It was busy (at about half 7) but, due to only wanting a drink, we were able to sit on a table that was reserved for a little later. There was an extensive list of wine ot choose from, available... This Enoteca was recommended by our Air bnb host, and was tucked away from the crowds of the Ponte Vecchio. Nearby live music playing adds to the atmosphere, the staff are helpful in selecting wines to your taste from all over Italy, in particular of course from Tuscany. Of particular note is their crostone with sausage with truffle (Asiago cheese... More

The wines are perfect, the caprese salade is wonderful, the birds eat bread out of your hand... Really good (shadow) spot for a relaxing hour in the afternoon.

This is a really, really good wine bar just a few minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio. The magic 20 or 25 meters that take you from the crowd to the piano piano pace. Enthusiastic and stress free host/staff with great suggestions for food > wine snack pairings. Wine selection has focus on small and medium producers, so expect some new... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
