Had a nice dinner. The food came out tal fast. Don't expect anything sophisticated, if you are used to good italian in NY, it feels like you stepped into an excellent italian restaurant in 1992. It hasn't evolved in any way. If I was in 1992, I would have been over joyed. But I found that in tuscany, all the... More

We visited this restaurant with our daughter. We sat outside, and the surroundings are lovely. We asked for a recommendation on the wine, and the Brunello the waiter suggested was excellent. My husband and I both ordered the fillet steak with pepper sauce, and my daughter initially ordered the steak Florentine, but when the waiter said it was a very... More

My girlfriend and I visited here on our last day in Florence. Given the reviews we had both read we made it our mission to come here. As soon as we arrived we were given a table and treated very well. Our starter was excellent, the wine excellent and from there we both decided to try Florence's speciality - Bistecca... More

Went here a few years back when we were in town with a group of friends. The food and the ambience was fantastic. Great menu - will try to return someday.

Just arrived back from a blissful break in my favorite city. I visited La Posta Restaurant originally 15 years ago, and the standard hasn't changed one iota. Situated in the centre of the city, albeit off the main drag, on a quiet corner. We would normally not dine in the centre as its just too busy, however we had just... More

From the vegetable soup to the Florentine steak (bistecca) La Posta exceeded our expectations. We chose to sit outside amidst the flowers, linen tablecloths, and friendly staff willing to explain every dish. Sipping Prosecco and talking over the day's adventures it was a welcome luxury to enjoy.

I had my best meal in Florence here! The pasta is fresh and the whole meal was incredible. The restaurant had a really nice atmosphere. Very sad we found this place on our last day or we definitely would have had another meal there.

We sat outside on the quieter side of the restaurant. Food and wine were outstanding!! Best gnocchi we have ever had!! We got the gnocchi with the tomato as a starter, amazing!! Veal Saltimbocca, to die for!

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
