Have enjoyed several meals here over the years and it is definitely my favourite in central Florence. Great food, excellent wine list and excellent service. Just love their Risotto Nero, but everything I have tried has been authentic and delicious.

Quite surprise to find such a place so close to the tumultuous tourists traps! It's great food. Pasta is the best! The service was excellent! Drinks were reasonable with great wine! Definitely go back. There's a bistro and a restaurant. Both are great! Bistro opens during the afternoon.

La Posta is a charming restaurant on a side street just below the Piazza della Repubblica. Service is friendly and the food is really good. We went back for a second visit during our short stay to enjoy some more of the dishes they offered. We enjoyed ravioli with nuts and cream, spaghetti lobster, tagliatelle with truffle and splendid lamb... More

have been back to this restaurant several times over the years, the good thing is, it does not change, the waiter staff are brilliant, the manager is great and the now young owner also cares about his clients. The food, well, as good, if not better than ever. A fantastic restaurant if visiting this lovely city.

Ate here on our last night in Florence and were pleasantly surprised... The restaurant is just off the main st behind Piazze Della Repubblica but has very affordable prices. We enjoyed Bruschetta, Tagliatini Pomodoro, Steak di Manzo, an absolutely amazing cheesecake and a bottle of Brunello, all for under €150... Which in the center of Florence is basically unheard of!

My SO and I went here tonight and got an Entrecôte with tarragon sauce, a filet with pepper sauce, some fries and a couple of beers. Everything was superb and the service were prompt and friendly.

Had a nice dinner. The food came out tal fast. Don't expect anything sophisticated, if you are used to good italian in NY, it feels like you stepped into an excellent italian restaurant in 1992. It hasn't evolved in any way. If I was in 1992, I would have been over joyed. But I found that in tuscany, all the... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
