I stop by Florence for a few days to visit my sister whom works near by Ponte Vecchio, she took me to enjoy a nice glass of wine in a friendly yet elegant environment. Enjoying a nice wine with a view is just amazing and you will forget the price you are paying for it (although is worth it) All... More

This hotel is centrally located in Firenze. It offers wonderful views of the Arno River if you are lucky enough to have a room on the Arno. This hotel is owned by the Feragamo Family and is decorated very elegantly with a great atmosphere. The restaurant in the hotel is fine dining at its best here in Firenze. Be prepared... More

Enjoyed a glass of wine over looking the Arno as the sun went down. Hidden down a side street this bar offers great views of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio. The staff were extremely helpful and well presented. It is rather expensive but is due to the location. I would highly recommend a visit!

We stopped for a break during our marathon sightseeing expedition and the Lungarno Hotel had been recommended. We had coffee which was served with delicious bite sized cakes, Although at 6 euros a cup, we felt this was great value for a great atmosphere, lovely surroundings and a fabulous view of the Ponte Vecchio and beyond. Oh yes and the... More

The food was OK. I think the waiter was recommending the items that were most expensive instead of their best choice. View was great and that made the cost worth it. Considering that this is fine dining, the waiters were pouring the wine quickly. It was a very warm evening and they should have pour less in the glass so... More

We discovered this tiny terrace with an amazing view of the Arno river and Ponte Vecchio. Good service. Also, good quality wine and champagne (you can ask for strawberries too!). They have a very small menu because it's meant for drinks and appetizers. I had the pasta which was freshly made and delicious. My husband had a sandwich which was... More

Every trip (7 visits to date) has to include this ritual. Sit on the tiny balcony and sip cappuccino; nibble the delicious complimentry biscuits for the bargain sum of 5 euros per person. You can watch the swirling, brown waters of the River Arno with all manner of ducks, birds (yes even kingfishers), huge catfish and the elegant white egret... More

My husband and I always dreamed of visiting Italy and our expectations were exceeded! We had the time of our lives at Hotel Lungamo, Firenze and Simoni was a great compliment to the atmosphere and elegance of the hotel. He was helpful and always smiling. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the restaurant Borgo San Jacopo in Florence and... More
