Went here due to vegan options being available. When we arrived the lady was extremely friendly. Clearly explained which options I could have, helped us with practicing the language & also when we asked about taxis, she was on the phone for a while trying...to get us sorted while still serving others. Nothing was too much trouble. And the ice cream was delicious & reasonably priced! Would recommend.More

My family and I spent two weeks in Cortona, in a property just outside the main town. It was our homebase for exploring Tuscany, but a worthy town to see in its own right–don't let the Under the Tuscan Sun hype mislead you, it really...IS that beautiful. But anyway, back to Dolce Vita. On our first day getting to know Cortona, we had gelato from a mediocre, forgettable place. Then we stumbled on this one, and never looked back. Literally not a day went by that we didn't stop by Dolce Vita for our gelato fix. It always had a line, which nevertheless went fast. The service was friendly and efficient, and the gelato was absolutely delicious. Sometimes, when the temperature is too hot, gelato can be runny the moment it's served. Not here; the texture was perfect every time, and the flavors simple and superb. Do NOT miss this place if you have the good fortune to be in Cortona!More
Lovely creamy gelato with lots of different flavours. I would recommend the pistachio cremino with nocciola (hazelnut).

Exceptional pistachio ice cream and delicious chocolate- this is a very very good gelateria! Lovely milkshakes too. Also only €2 - 3 per ice-cream!
We went for the vegan nutella, thinking it would be a gelato of that flavour but actually, it was actual nutella :D Cannot say if vegan or not, it was riddiculously good. Not sure if it's supposed to be like this, it was not really...ice cream, only cold on the inside, but what the heck. If someone serves me nutella in a cone, I am happy. We came back for another gelato which was actually a gelato, don't remember the flavours but still good.More
Decent selection and quality. Really pretty server! I've had better, but I've had worse. Only 2 euro for a small cup or cone.
Since 2011 we have visited Cortona 3 times and we were just there this September. Every time we go to Cortona I think of getting a gelato at Dolce Vita. They have variety of flavors but my favorite is stracciatella. We were in Cortona 7...days and each night after a great Tuscan dinner in Cortona I had to get my gelato at Dolce Vita and walked a short distance to the Piazza Garibaldi to enjoy this wonderful gelato while looking out at the amazing view of Chiana Valley from the piazza. There is another gelato shop in Cortona but Dolce Vita is far superior. There is almost always a line at the Dolce Vita but it moves quickly which speaks for the quality of their gelato. When you are In Cortona don't miss the opportunity to stop into Gelateria Dolce Vita and have the best gelato you probably will ever have.More
Super ice cream, good range of flavours and good value for money. Very hard to say whether this or Gelateria Snoopy is the best one in Cortona! Visit both and you will not be disappointed!
This is our first trip to Italy and this was our second gelato since we’ve been here. The first one was yesterday in Monticchiello and it was amazing. The one we had today from Dolce Vita in Cortona was even better. Utterly delicious! So smooth...and creamy and great flavour. We had Pistachio and Milk Chocolate. The cone was fantastic too and we had very big scoops with two wafers on top for €5. I’m definitely addicted to Gelato after this experience.More
I first came to Cortona in 2014 and stayed at Casa Chilenne (which is a few steps away from this gelateria.) I realized on day 4 that what they were selling at this place looked delicious and my husband and I got some. Not a...day has gone by in the 26 days we have spent in Italy in 2014 and 2019 where we have not had gelato and it all started with this place's gelato. It's just plain delicious! This year, perhaps it was hotter outside, but I also think their gelato was not as cold. None of us could make it out of the place without the gelato dripping. That was not a problem, but I think it could have been a few degrees colder.More
We saw this gelatetia on our way into the centre of Corona. It was obviously popular as there was a queue forming outside. We stopped on our way back to our car. The queue was still there but moved quickly. The gelato looked great; shiny...and freshly made. The cherry and chocolate gelato were excellent.More
The ice cream was nice enough, but they assumed that we didn't speak Italian and/or couldn't count.... ice creams came to €4 but were given only €4 change from a €10 note.... when challenged we were given €1 and a glare, so had to ask...again for the other Euro and received a more impressive glare with no wafer on top....More
