Very hot, all outside tables taken so sat inside. Good selection of cold on tap beers. Staff seemed grumpy( 2nd visit for me but first for nephew) and unwelcoming. Enjoyed a couple of beers. Ordered focaccia cheese sandwiches for two. Took ages but to be...fair they were very tasty. We called at this restaurant as part of a walking food tour of Cortona. We enjoyed very tasty local cold meats and beers /wines in what was unfortunately also a rather cold atmosphere. The staff seemed a bit off and although there was a table...prepared for our visit, we got the impression that we were not expected. The manager seemed to have a go at our guide both on arrival and departure for no apparent reason. The food and drinks were top class but we left feeling sorry for our guide. With so many restaurants of high quality in Cortona, the tour could easily take a different route.More
It did not start off good to begin with. We were sitting outside for a while and I had to go in and get the owners attention to serve us. We ordered two sandwiches and they were not what we ordered. The sandwiches were not...fresh and the bread was basically destroyed. Most of it didn't even cover the meat. Had to go in again to get attention for check and more wine. We stopped here on a quiet afternoon in September after walking thru Cortona. We ordered two glasses of wine inside and sat outside. Didn’t find the staff overly friendly but they did give us some snacks to enjoy with our wine. Nice to sit outside...and watch the people go by.More
Visited this place with my partner for lunch. We are both vegan, so it was difficult to find something to eat from the menu. We ordered bruschetta with tomatoes and oil and a mixed salad as it was the only thing we could eat on...the menu. The salad arrived covered in Tuna ( no mention of this on the menu) we told the waiter but the Tina was just picked off leaving some still in the salad. Salad leaves very tired and old. Shame as it looked a nice place. Wouldn’t come back. SorryMore
Had looked at this one several times as we walked the streets of Cortona. At times super busy - which is good. We managed to find a slightly easier evening. Small place - good food, portions just right. Great wine
Very friendly staff in a place that was once a garage many years ago. Look at ceiling while you enjoy good wine or a cold beer with a good sandwich or appetizer.
The excellent place where it is possible to have a bite before acquaintance to the city or after walk by abrupt small streets. Final stop of the bus is located on the square nearby. You can eat tasty sandwiches or salads here or to order...to go. Friendly staff.More
I stayed in Cortona for a couple of months on two separate occasions. Daniele the owner is warm, generous and kind. This place quickly became our go to spot for lunch, a cafe, a snack, a quick beer, an afternoon or evening cocktail. Delicious sandwiches...and inviting host who is knowledgeable about the huge selection of local wine bottles at the enoteca as well as local history. Grab a bottle of wine and a sandwich for a pic-nic in the near-by park!More
Located on via nationale at the edge of the historic district in Cortona. Nice stop for early evening wine or lunch. We often stopped during happy hour where they always had some snacks available. Free wi-fi also with password.
This enoteca was close to our accommodations so we ate here several times. Food was fresh, filling and service very friendly. Good wine selection and prices. Cozy. Be sure to check out the "museum" of dusty wine bottles near the back.
This place is a deli/wine shop at the front and a small simple wine bar at the back. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the selection of food and wine is excellent.
Beautiful simple decor and good wines and pasta make this place a nice stop after walking the hills, park and churches of Cortona. Service was excellent and prices reasonable.
Highly recommend this Enoteca in the small town of Cortona. Great wine and accomodating staff. It was a lot of fun! Reservations suggested for the wine tastings.
This museum is well worth a look. Relics going back to 600 BC, and we thought we were clever. The jewellery could be in a modern artisan jewellers shop today.
