Super fine dining experience. The room, food and service all truly exceptional and fitting 2-stars. Accommodating for vegi choices and a very thoughtful wine (& water!) selection. Every dish was executed to a high level of taste and presentation, totally different take on the classic pasta Norma - but it was the desserts that were awesome. Pricing fitting a stared... More

We were staying at the beautiful San Domenico hotel and booked at their supposedly 2 Star Michelin restaurant last week. The food is trying to be over-complex and is frankly poorly cooked and executed. This is regrettable because the setting , wine list and service are all excellent. Based on what we experienced this is NOT a Michelin level restaurant.... More

Staying at the unique San Domenico Palace Hotel it was not long before we broke resistance and were drawn to this two Michelin starred resturant housed within the Hotel. Fine dining Sicilian style and very different from any other similarly marked notable establishments enjoyed in UK. Food simplicity that is elegant and precise, fantastically flavoursome, colourful, presented on an array... More

We had a wonderful meal at the Principe Cerami during a 10 day holiday. As a celebration of my birthday we had the 5-course tasting menu which was of a very high standard, with local wines that came recommended. The ambience was formal but relaxed and the service was outstanding without being oppressive. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

We were told this was quite a special place and a one of a kind experience, we had our hotel make a booking, they said they didnt have reservations until two days later at 7pm... we took it. On the day of we showed up in time and were the only ones dining there for about an hour and a... More

If you are a foodie, this is likely to come across as rather poor value. The ravioli(ni) dish was overcooked. My wife ordered the steamed merluzzo- and received something more akin to fried tempura. The fish of the day- a grouper, was pretty decent. Some of the other things just didn't seem particularly fresh. The service was impeccable (especially the... More

I had messed up the reservation date, but they were very kind and gave us a table anyway. And it is a nice restaurent! But two stars? Highlights were the wine - and good service - the food was so so. You need to be into testing Michelin star restaurants to find good price / performance.

Location is great, seated outside overlooking the ocean. The restaurant is old and the food itself makes the experience dated. We went for the classic menu, but fried fish seems like a ridiculous way of destroying quality seafood. There are other resturants in the area which have higher quality food.

We were staying at San Domenico Palace and decided to eat here. We do not generally choose Michelin Star restaurants as they can be rather fussy and often not as good as one expects. The setting is stunning, the staff very friendly. When I booked I advised my dietary requirements which they confirmed. These had not been passed to the... More
