Lovely decorated granita cafe. Despite granita being a Catanian speciality, widely acknowledged even by locals to have outstanding granita. (I was, however, surprised that they didn’t have the signature pistachio flavor).
They don’t do take out in high season, which means there is usually a 40 minute wait or so for a table. 11 am is a good time to come to reduce hitting wait.
Granita is a Sicilian breakfast dish eaten with a warm brioche to prevent brain freeze (you are supposed to have one bite of each as you finish them), and Bam Bar has huge brioches at a set price hit a granita combo.
You can also ask them to put a dollop of granita in your coffee instead of milk.
Service is prompt if not friendliest.
Once you finish, lose some calories by having a walk around the corner to admire one of the prettiest streets in Taormina.

Definitely visit this place if you want to have an authentic Sicilian experience - it’s super popular with the locals for a reason!
Choose a granite flavour, with or without cream, and get some brioche on the side for 4.50. Sooooo delicious!
It was a very welcome refreshment having just climbed up to Chiesa Madonna della Rocca and back.
Staff speak English and are friendly, you may have to wait a little while for a table but it is worth it!
Bam bar is located between the Corsa Umberto and the Greek Theatre - use Google Maps to find it. Can pay by card or cash.

After many recommendations we visited Bam Bar twice during our stay in Taormina. The Granita Con Brioche is amazing and they have a varied assortment of flavours of which you can mix into one glass! We had two each in one visit as we wanted to try a few, therefore we can highly recommend the Fragola, Kiwi, Limone, Cioccolato and Nutella! The brioche are absolutely huge and are served warm, some of the best brioche I've ever had. Our only slight complaint is that as Bam Bar is so popular and busy the staff are not particularly friendly however it wasn't enough to put us off going back for a second time! Definitely the place to go for delicious and authentic Granita Con Brioche!

I wish I could have anything to say about this place, but as the service was so disappointing and full of themselves we didn't have opportunity to taste their granitas that everyone is raving about.
After we realized that you have to be a superstar to be noticed by the most important waiters in the universe, we simply asked could we have granitas for a "take away". The answer was "not now!". All of that with speaking fluent Italian. I can only imagine what happens to people that don't speak the language.
So we smiled and continued, because after all in Sicily it is not a challenge at all to get good food or granita.
And you know what, I guess it comes with years, I will never allow myself to beg someone to spend money in the place they work at. Reminder - you only exist until you have clients, when you treat clients poorly, people start to get fed up and eventually guess what...all of a sudden people remind themselves that they are in Sicily, surrounded with granitas and there are more then one place making that "special" one. So perhaps management should work a bit on customer service and human relationship with their staff instead of living of the fame of "the best granita". Everything fades, even "the best granita". and bad service remains bad service.

A tiny shop serving Amazon Granitas in the heart of Taormina. Unlike other spots, here you can have it all-a fresh and fruity granita on top of creamy gelato.
There are dozens of combinations but we opted for raspberry granita on top of white chocolate gelato. You also have the option to add thick rich whipped cream (do it) on the top. All this for only 4€.
Our group of 4 only ordered 2 to share but after a few bites ordered two more. Delicious and refreshing.
It can be a bit of a wait for a table, just check in with a guy in an orange shirt and they will add your name to the list. Don’t just grab an open table. An older guy takes the orders (and collects cash when you are ready to pay-not sure if the take cards).
Highly recommended

This is an iconic bar in Sicilia, serving one of the best granite on the island. The bar is lovely inside though during the summer, most tables are outside. It is always busy for granite and brioche for breakfast and all during the day. You have to give your name and wait to be called. We had granite with the hand whipped cream with brioche. Fruit granite are the more traditional (the best?) though they offer other types including chocolate, pistacchio and nocciola which are more like an ice-cream. The big surprise, other than everything being delicious and the staff super efficient, is that it still is a “normal” price (not that easy to find in Taormina.) A must on your visit.

The granitas and brioches were beyond amazing, the staff was nice and everything came super fast. Only problem was the waiting time since we came on a Saturday morning and were a big family (5 in total), the tables are pretty small and are on the side of the streets. We took 5 granitas (some with 2 flavors + whipped cream and some with only one flavor) and 5 brioches and we were completely full and satisfied.

Bam bar is a hidden gem but word has spread because you normally have a short wait for a table. Serving drinks and light refreshments their speciality is definitely the granita served with a warm brioche bun and fresh cream. They are delicious and being a creature of habit I always order a coffee and almond granita and there are numerous other flavours. See you again in September

bam bar was literally the only cafe in Sicily where I could drink an oat milk latte. We went there early in the morning, so it wasn’t that crowded. Loved how the owner took care of us, he asked us where we are coming from and explained us the flavours of granite in turkish :) I loved the colorful design of the place, especially the tables.

Good granita, good brioche, but the rude service of one particular server left a sour taste in our mouth. This person seems to have an issue with all clients regardless of whether you are a tourist or local. We even heard him snapping with another server in front of everyone. Unfortunately his attitude will make us look elsewhere as we will not be returning.

The service was super friendly, the guy even made the effort to explain the menu in our languages.
The Granita was so so so good that we had to go back there the day after. You can tell the granitas are made with fresh ingredients!
The decor, the service, the efficiency, everything at this place was enjoyable.
We saw this place so many times on instagram and thought it was one of those overhyped places but we were happy to realise the place is indeed great! Highly recommend!

The best granita and brioche ever. Nowhere else comes close. So glad a local recommended this to us as we’d have been missing out massively if we didn’t go. This place doesn’t need any Trip Advisor reviews as the queues are out of the door all day long. Best to visit in the morning for breakfast when the queues are shorter though different flavours are added later in the day after the morning rush.

Shame on you bam bar. People were in front of us and we were waiting and the guy slammed the door in our face instead of telling us nicely that they were closed for takeout. When I went to other entrance and asked if fthey were closed the one guy ignored me and then the same guy that slammed the door in my face acted as if he didn’t know what I was talking about. SO RUDE. I don’t care how good the granitas are you need to respect and be kind to people. Won’t be back

BAM bar is a place you go to because you've heard about it, you approach a small door in front of which a long line of people is waiting to have the 'famous' granita. You evaluate the wait and give up. You continue your walk and on the way back you always find yourself in front of the little door, you look at the clock, you realize that it has gotten really late and the queue has vanished. You come in, ask for the granita, a small paper cup costs as much as a large one served at the table in a cup. You go out through another small door and sit on a wet and sticky table, being careful not to trip over any cables between the chairs.
Finally you taste it and think that you've had better ones and you're happy you didn't wait in line! Refreshing granita, nothing else.
