One of the cheaper options in Taormina (and therefore very popular), very good pizzas from a seemingly endless menu of options I kept it fairly simple, ordering pizza norms, which came with fried aubergine and ricotta. The house wine is cheap and cheerful, and very drinkable. Taormina is full of fancy and expensive options, the Napoletana felt like a welcome night off!

My wife and i visited last night and it may be the best pizza I have ever had.
The setting is lovely on a side street, all tables are set a safe distance apart outside, with lots of incredible architecture to look at while you eat.
We had the porcini, the norma and a orange and fennell salad- all were delicious.
Prices very reasonable pizza mostly under 10 euros, which doesn't get you a starter in a lot of Taormina.

An authentic pizzeria with a wide varied range of pizzas at very reasonable prices. Can sit inside or outside (heaters available). Place is hidden behind the main road, take a turning around the toy shop. Been twice in 5 days, that’s a good review enough!

We asked to sit outside, which clearly annoyed the waiter as it was windy, but their room inside wasn't very pleasant / didn't feel like Taormina to us!
We ordered two pizzas which arrived quickly. They were nor good nor bad. The waiter didn't bothered coming back outside to ask if we wanted anything else so we just paid inside and left (when we initially wanted to order dessert). 31 euros for 2 pizzas and one bottle of water felt a bit pricey for this service and food quality.
+ they put awful music on their terrace, in addition to the ventilation of the kitchen coming out just next to the clients
For this service, price and food quality we could have sat to one of the touristy place on a nice piazza, instead of going out in the smaller streets to find them...!

It’s a shame, the overall experience of the food was excellent. Pizza were cooked perfectly, but overall let down by a very low standard of service. It’s clear they are overwhelmed by the amount of diners, which you might expect one or two mistakes. However;
1, We were not seated to our table, but rather just pointed to,
2, Waited 15min just for a menu and then another 20min just to order drinks and food. ( found this slightly annoying as tried to get their attention but we were just ignored)
3, Our starters were given to a table next to us who called the waiter, the waiter then moved them to another table before taking notice of us waving to say it was ours. ( they did offer to re cook the croquettes)
4, Starters cleared, another round of drinks ordered (2 bottles of beer) 10min later pizza arrive and had to remind the waiter of the drinks.
5, Asking for the bill was easier! But after waiting another 15-20 to pay I just walked in and payed.

Great food in a hidden away spot of Taormina. This pizzeria has great reviews. We got there early and were able to get seated. The pizza was amazing but the service for drinks was a little slow as the restaurant became busier. However would definitely visit again

We'd been to the sister pizzeria 'Villa Zuccaro' earlier in the week, and it was refreshing to see La Napoletana had its own character, including many different menu choices.
Food: We had a starter which included fried pizza dough, a pesto and a quattro formaggi pizza and a bottle of Etna rose wine. The fried pizza dough was a delight, the pizzas were of good quality, cooked perfectly and the wine to accompany was delightful, with the Sicilian rose being a little dryer on the palate.
Service: The restaurant opened the inside area for us as the outside area was full. We arrived a little before peak time so it felt as though usually this would not have been available. The service was attentive and friendly.

We searched on the internet pizzeria Taormina, we went at 22:10 we had booked, after half an hour we were already waiting for the bill, the pizza arrived after 5 minutes, cold burnt poor seasoning, I am Neapolitan, does not fit the name of the restaurant to the product offered.
The pizza from Messina was literally inedible, bad done wrong, we had eaten it two days before at savoca, that was a pizza from Messina.
By the way dear, dear!
They should first make fewer covers, fewer pizzas but made better because they were really bad from dough to mozzarella cooking.
Recommendation to anyone!
Better a nice ice cream on the course!

Last minute find, hidden just up from the Main Street. Very well priced and pizzas tasted fresh! The setting was lovely and service was good.
Only complaint was my margarita pizza was very wet - no sure if this was the oil or too much cheese but it looked like water was sitting on top of my pizza and was off putting. Dough was beautiful 🤩
Would return again and ask for less cheese or add a few toppings to avoid too much moisture from gathering.

We stayed with friends on 08/13/2023.
As soon as we arrived we sat down and immediately ordered! We chose the "napoletana" starter, specifying that it was the starter and not the pizza. As soon as the dishes are brought we find ourselves with an appetizer of mozzarella and raw ham. However, there could be a mistake. The serious thing is that as soon as we finished dinner the bill was delivered to us (WITHOUT HAVING ASKED FOR IT!!!) Unique rudeness…
We wanted to have a dessert but obviously we got up complaining to the waiters about what had happened!

Went here for dinner on our final night in Taormina. The restaurant has a lovely setting outside with lots of tables, creating a very pleasant atmosphere.
We ordered a range of pizzas including the Montanara which came extremely quickly. The pizzas were nice but I’ve certainly had better pizzas elsewhere in Sicily, especially in Palermo.
Service was good and so was the setting so I would recommend the restaurant for a nice dinner, however there are better pizzas around.

Visited this restaurant second time, our first visit was 4 years ago.
Good pizzas, tasty ingredients (as well as starters), but dough could be better - edges are not so soft and puffy as they could (should) be for pizza Napoletana, a bit gummy, unfortunately. It’s about flour, hydration and maturation process - every pizzeria makes it in their own way…
Service is quick and friendly. Wine list is short but sufficient.

The headline is true! We ate pizza in Trapani, Cefalu, and Taormina and this restaurant served the best of them all. We tried the Diavola, Pesto, Calibrase, Margarita , and Nebrobi (on two separate visits) and all were fantastic. Our youngest also sampled the deep fried pizza dough and wanted to send his components to the chef! They made the best Aperol Spritz our trip too.
Being slightly off the main tourist road, it’s also a bit more peaceful and there is plenty of space; other restaurants are very packed in and with crowds of people walking by.
They were a bit slow to bring the bill on both occasions but we weren’t in a rush so it was no big deal.

Great pizza in a very nice and cosy location. The pizza is very tasty and light to digest, and the restaurant is outside the main street so you can enjoy a bit of quiet outside the crowd. Prices are fair and staff friendly.

After a few years I returned to dine in this pleasant Neapolitan-style pizzeria in the historic center of Taormina, a few meters from the main street, whose location is particularly interesting, as the tables are placed on a staircase and inside a small square , very characteristic and pleasant.
Much, too much turnout and this is precisely the 'problem'. Very kind to our son, to whom they immediately brought the pizza, the service guys were very kind, but a step backwards on the pizza, wrong cooking, not excellent dough, more chewy...ingredients thrown there...result of doing things with the rush to be able to replace the table, 3-4 times.
Rightly we are in Taormina, the amount of tourists is not only high, but the local pizza which bears the name of NAPOLETANA must respect the tradition of good pizza.
I hope on our next visit...the standard will return again and go up.
