We had a fabulous evening here for a 50-person conference dinner/retirement celebration--6 or 7 courses, one better than the next, including two pastas, the most tender grilled swordfish, and watermelon gelato for dessert. Everyone was extremely impressed with the attentive service & extraordinary quality of the food - especially the seafood and fresh pasta.

This cozy and romantic restaurant, built on the foundations of a 15th century monastery in Syracuse, is full of atmosphere with a soaring vaulted ceiling and a mass of potted plants. You can't go wrong with just about anything on the menu, which is backed by a 700-strong wine list. It can get crowded especially at weekends, causing a long... More

A great place for a special dinner in Ortiga. Beautiful setting. Interesting and different menu. Very flavorful and creative. Excellent service and reasonable wine pricing.

We normally love tasting menus. They allow the chef to give you a taste of many of their best dishes. We had the meat 5 course tasting menu. The dishes were as large as full entrees. I was expecting that the secondi would be meat but not every single course including the starters. Dessert was excellent and dish number 6.... More

An elegant place in the centre of Ortigia. Professional service, tables discreetly distant from one another, top choice of wines, and the best tuna (tagliata di tonno con salsa di peperoni) I've ever had. A bill of around €200 for four people was absolutely honest. Go there for a nice evening, but don't forget to book in advance.

Don Camillo fits in beautifully with the charming Mediterranean atmosphere of Ortigia. It's luxe but not stuffy, modern but built on classic foundations. The wait staff were helpful and welcoming. The food was made with top-quality, fresh ingredients. Value was consistent with the other restaurants at which we dined. Three courses with wine came to about 50 Euros per person.

The menu and wine-list are outstanding at this restaurant, but this is not for budget travelers. Try the tasting menu and be ready for a sensory experience.

Good but not great. Service was good. Highlight of meal was probably the little mini baguettes. Actual meal was good but perhaps my expectations were too high given the reviews. I had the lasagna alla Norma, which may have been perfect to some but the cheese sauce was a bit rich for my taste buds.

Absolutely stop in for dinner. You flew from half way around the world so you might as well have a delicious meal. Do not be turned off if the staff is dressed better than you they are sweet and extremely professional. They know you may be traveling with a backpack so you may not have brought the tuxedo, not everyone... More

Great service and very good food; we went back several times. Try their antipasti and the pastas which are very different from what you find in other restaurants.
