OMG We recently took a private cooking class with Chef Vincenzo Clemente at his restaurant in Palermo called in Cin Cin. The class started with a tour of a local market as this is where he buys the food for his restaurant and he stopped and got us different variety of local food.. In this hands on class, we made... It was our first meal of a very long trip to Italy and this was still one of my favorites many stops later. I'd highly recommend stopping in to Ristorante Cin Cin if you are every in Palermo. It was a quiet setting with an engaging host and a well prepared, authentic meal.

We are at this wonderful, highly rated family run restaurant on our first nite as a prelude to doing a hands on cooking class the next morning. Our meal that nite was fabulous in a simple but pretty restaurant tucked away in a small alley. The service was excellent as Vincenzo Clemente (the owner/Chef) delights in explaining and advising on... More

We have been dining at Cin Cin for several years when we visit Palermo and it is always a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant sits just off Via Liberta' so it is away from the crowds and is very private and restful. Vincenzo is always an excellent host and makes great food and wine recommendations while Mama cooks up a... More

Having much enjoyed the morning with Vincenzo in the market, buying and snacking under his expert supervision, we then went to his restaurant for an intensive cookery course. Even the experienced cooks amongst our small group learned a lot of new skills and information about Sicilian ingredients and cuisine. We then feasted on the lunch we had cooked. Our charming... I was in Palermo for a little over three weeks :) Happened to be staying close to this restaurant. Once I went and met Vincenzo and his family and had their food, I was hooked!! Ate here four times, consistently good food and some great wines!! No negatives for me, enjoyed every meal. Ciao

They had an eggplant appetizer with seafood that was interesting and unlike anything I've had before. Lasagna like layers but not too heavy. Fresh seafood and tasty pastas abound and excellent service. A nice spot.

We visited on Sunday 1 May; some other restaurants were closed for the holiday and we found this place by accident but we were very pleased we did. The owner was very friendly and helpful (and spoke fluent English which is good because my Italian is limited!) Food and wine were reasonably priced and we had an excellent evening.

A great welcome, great service and great food-need I say anymore? Well yes... Menu not extensive- usually a sign of good cooking - and it was. We had Oyster gratin to start- excellent, gnocchi with a lovely sauce, pork medallions as our mains and almond semifredo to finish a very pleasant bottle of wine - attentive and friendly but not... We dined in Cin Cin on the first evening in Palermo. It's a family run restaurant where the mother cooks the food and her son runs the place. Nice Italian home-made food without being exceptional.
