Very enjoyable meal , mackerel to start, sardines in pasta, swordfish croquttes & melon sorbet to finish, accompanied by a delicious dry white wine. Excellent service, highly recommended.

The food here is brilliant, inventive and with decent portions. They also were very helpful looking after my disabled mother. We were all very grateful to them and will be coming again!

This restaurant is at the old part of the city. After walking around the old buildings, warm atmosphere of this restaurant attracted us. We've chosen so called "street food" from the menu. Service was good and fast. Food was avarage, obviously this is not a...More

3 adults had dinner and all enjoyed it immensely. I had the street food tastings to start and enjoyed them all. My main was the bbq meat with potatoes, very tasty. One of my fellow diners had the black pork and the other had the...More

Pleasant setting but food and service very average for price charged. The seafood starter was good but €20, street food starter bland and mains generally mediocre, sorry but wasn’t impressed especially as it was recommended by local hostMore

our prices are in relation to the quality we give to our customers. Our street food is one of the best in the city according to the main guides and if a local guest has recommended us, perhaps it is because he knows the restaurant...More

Our first impression was bravo. This establishment has found the perfect combination of excellent food, great ambiance and a (local) wine selection that will blow your mind. The waiters really understand their profession and recommended the perfect dishes for the night (I have allergies). A...More

This was hands down the worst service we have ever experienced - and we're not particularly fussy or needy customers. I note from the outset that the restaurant was only half full the entire time we were there. We ordered a bottle of sparkling water...More

This review is absolutely incorrect. Let's start with the bill: we have been doing this job for 48 years and believe me it is not 3 euros of a bottle of water that has been counted in error, which can make us ricicer. In addition...More

Nice menu, good sicilian food, great wines and nice staff. No wonder we go back time after time. Try the antipasti options with fish and sea food. To share or as a meal on it's own. You won't regret it.

In the first part of the restaurant you can eat on high chairs. If you are a big group they have plenty of tables in the second room. The restaurant is very nice looking. The service is nice, smiling and efficient. The food is made...More

Ballaro is an overlook on the soul of Sicily, a lively land and plenty of opportunities where you can create economy enhancing culture, images, smells, tastes and sounds. Osteria Ballaro contains these elements, a real market within the charming atmosphere of Palazzo Cattolica's stables. Our dishes value the simplicity as well as the wealth of Palermo and Sicily. We only use seasonal products, strictly at 0 km, starting from fish, to prepare recipes for every day menu. You can also combine the "street food" (from stigghiola to pani ca meusa, from pane cunzato to quarume), or a slow food platter of cheeses and cold cuts made in Sicily, with wines from our winecellar. For "traditionalists" who like "manciari in menzu strata" (eating in the middle of the road), we have set up a take-away outside.
