OK, lots of people in Sicily don't speak English and we don't speak Italian and menus here not in English, OK, but could figure it out. Wine list hand written, so a bit of charm, although really really slow service and just so-so food. Didn't particularly care for the fish carpaccio starter, the spaghetti with clam sauce was excellent, but... More

super fresh fish, super attentive service, terrific preparations. Memorable sea urchin with pasta; everything fresh and delicious. Unfortunate lighting if I have a complaint - bright overhead -maybe even fluorescent. Otherwise perfect

Good restaurant set in a mainly residential area of Palermo - which all added to the atmosphere. Walking there you seem to pass a number of families who have moved their dining room into the street for the evening. The only downside of this was that a local bar was playing loud (and not to my taste) music through most... More

The ambiance was so nice. The restaurant is situated among the family-living old apartments. You can watch the local people living there in their balconies. The family-run trattoria has a very short menu. We ordered some antipasties, pasta and grilled fish. The dishes were simple and tasty. The fish was fresh, but it's too early to be catched for that... The service was slow and inattentive, even when the restaurant was basically empty. They failed to inform us that a main ingredient of the course was missing and served it without it. The pasta was super al dente and had no real flavour. The cannoli and the wine were good but did not make up for the rest. Avoid if... More

We went here on our first night in Sicily. It is a lively, family-run place. I understand the owner owns a couple of fishing boats and the fish served here is caught the same day, which explains why it all looks so fresh. We were quickly shown a table and sat down. A display of various fish in ice chippings... More

We had been there a couple of night prior for dinner. The waiter was the son of the woman who was cashiering. Her husband was the owner and he was talking to some locals. We were clearly the only Americans there. They were so friendly to us! I started speaking half broken Italian and half English to the woman, asking... More

We had 10 members in our group. One recalled that this place had received a good report in a NY newspaper. We made a reservation and showed up on time. The service was" cosi cosi" and the food was below average relative to other restaurants we visited. For example the lady across from us did not get her entrée until... More

Lonely planet review this restaurant as buzzy, lively and congenial. We arrived on a wet and miserable day and the restaurant was about 1/4 full of locals. We were shown a table and then ignored for a good while, despite being asked "pronti" and responding si. Locals popped in and were warmly welcomed and we continued to be ignored. The... More
