We had a Tunisian starter, which was very rich, and a brick. Both were delicious. Thereafter we had fish couscous and taboule. Again, both were delicious. A bottle of water and a beer (66 cl). The bill was 50€. I strongly recommend this place.

We are native Palermitans but we discovered this authentic Tunisian restaurant by chance. It is located in the Capo district, few steps away from the main streets of the historic center. The cuisine is excellent, the quality of food is terrific and the people who...run this restaurant are absolutely a wonderful surprise. Authentic great Tunisian cuisine by native Tunisian people in Palermo. What else? We will come back again and we will recommend this resturants to our clients and friends. Thanks to their food and their warm hospitality they deserve to be popular and be included in the best things that Sicily has to offer!More
Very familiar Marrokan / Sizilian restaurant. The food was awesome, we are both vegetarians and were happy to find tabulé & cuscus, which is not pizza/pasta for once ;) Also moderate prices and a nice family which is cooking & serving. Would recommend and come...again!More
This place is hidden in a back street, in one of the more ‘up and coming’ areas of Palermo, with most of the seating outside. I distinctively remember thinking that it would be a weird place to eat if we were the only ones there,...as the sounds of a domestic came from the surrounding apartments; luckily we weren’t. The food itself was great, Tunisian tagines, meze, dips and other sharing platters. The service was good and the wine was cheap (and just drinkable). I’d go back, though I’d walk past first, just to make sure I wasn’t the only person there! (Or maybe just eat inside next time)More
We had lost track of time forgetting this was a Friday night so had not reserved a restaurant. Our plan, not like us, was to return to the trattoria we had launched at but it was slammed. Began looking around and squeezed into one of...the last tables open at Zaytuna. It was our lucky day. The mixed Tunisian antipasto was an eye opener and the spaghetti with shellfish of the same quality. Our advice--visit before they are discovered.More
This place was very delicious. A lovely atmosphere with good, friendly service. I recommend the Antipasto - the aubergine was the tastiest thing I’ve had in a long time!
We were passing by and liked the look of Zaytuna. Cool, space between the tables, onviting room and excellent music that the chef/owner was listening to from the kitchen. As it was quiet we had a chance to discuss the menu and he suggested we...have the Tunisian antipasti and the cous cous with seafood. The antipasti were lovely and we were glad we had dropped a dish as we were well fed by the end of the cous cous. The lady (owner) who looked after us was also very pleasant. A very good choice for our lunch.More
We went here as our AirBNB host and his previous guests had highly recommended it. The entrees were very delicious but mains were a little bland. There was no ambiance as we were the only people in the restaurant and the owner's daughter was watching...Italian reality TV with the sound on across the room rather than playing any music. The wine was nice and it was quite affordable.More
Beautiful light lunch, we had really tasty fish cous cous and prawns, this is our second time coming here and we have thoroughly enjoyed again. Thank you, we will be back!
Introduced to this excellent family run restaurant by the proprietor of our BandB. Had lunch there twice while in Palermo. At BandB host’s recommendation, we had an antipasto sampler to start. Consisted of six different vegetarian dishes, all very flavorful, classic Mediterranean and North African....Portions were sufficiently large that we shared an entree, consisting of lamb, vegetables and couscous. Everything was perfectly cooked, nicely presented and tasty. The whole family is involved, and service very attentive. Fish and couscous soup at second lunch was far better than I had in other more expensive restaurants, and about half the price. Highly recommended.More
The restaurant was very close to the place where we stayed, so we chose it on spot. However, it was surprisingly good: first, the owners of this family restaurant made us try Tunisian antipasti - brik (something like a thin fried crepe with tuna and...potatoes inside), which was very tasty; as the main dish we had couscous with fish, very delicious and nutritious, and for dessert the generous hosts offered us typical Tunisian sweets made from couscous. Overall, I'd highly recommend the place for the friendly atmosphere, delicious food and big portions!More
This is a great little restaurant, hidden away in a small street away from the main tourist spots. The family who runs the restaurant are lovely people who made us feel like a part of their family all night long. That the couscous was amazing...was obviously a huge plus. They did not speak much English, but it's definitely worth a visit for some authentic and great local cuisine.More
Best couscous I have ever had. A family restaurant, truly warm and friendly service. They do not accept credit cards and we only had large bills, so the owner allowed us to leave and pay later. We did not betray their trust.
Highly recommended, very good appetizers and couscous of meat fish or vegetables as well. Friendly and polite ambience. Site in the historical district 4 minutes walk to the Cathedral. It worth its value.
A perfect lunch, delicious antipasti, and great cuscus. The host (owner, waiter, cook...) was lovly and since we did not have cache offered us to return later:-) Thanks
