The place was busy as it has featured in more than one UK tv show recently. Inside the shop it is brilliant, but the dining area across the street serves food which is sort of OK, but you might do better to find somewhere that provides more personal service. The experience was quite like eating in the middle of a... More

Hello, I went there during my holidays with brother and we went to the restaurant at each lunch and dinner. Even if this one was looking great (they have a good brand to attract people), the restaurant was not good. First, I was surprised to see that waiters were dilletante and not so much concerned to bring a good level... More

We opted for the meal option rather than street food. We had very good traditional Palermo food which was interesting and slightly eastern in taste. The Cassata was delicious. Wine was very tasty and also good value for money. The ambience and decor were great. A very enjoyable evening.

Crowdy, Bustourists, Schoolclasses on holiday. Unfriendly service. This is not the place to be in Palermo, despite the fact, it has been a gastronomical "hotspot" in the past,

We came to the Focacceria twice during our stay in Palermo and both times for lunch. The first time was prime time and it was a long que to get to the register to pay for our Focaccia di Palermo (did I say get this?). That being said, the place is always hopping so take that into account. Folks were... More

I like the old history of this restaurant, but the food was not more than okay. And I don´t like to eat with plastic fork and knife. I´m a little disappointed of this place, I expected more after reading about the place before my trip.

I visited this place for lunch with a Great Rail Journeys guided tour party. Although the restaurant has a certain quaintness, the food was very poor - huge portions of stodgy starters (including a bread roll containing some stringy offal) followed by under-cooked pasta and unpleasant, tasteless, yet strangely incredibly sweet desert. Although wine was included it was difficult to... More

Beautifully restored in a film set-like square this is the perfect place for a coffee or lunch. This place has a rich history that it wears with pride. The traditional food was absolutely delicious. A must do.

It was our favorite place for lunch in Palermo. They serve "street food" of restaurant quality, all very fresh and tasty. It's a kind of self-service downstairs, and upstairs it's a restaurant, same food, a bit more expensive, but still very affordable, and quite pleasant space to rest your feet after exploring the morning city.
