A little distant from my hotel to walk but went anyway since It came highly recommended but I was not impressed the focaccia sandwiches were not that good.

We look forward to coming back to Palermo just for this place, honestly! The Focaccia palermitana ca’ meusa -- with lemon, ricotta, and/or caciocavallo (another cheese)--is addictive! The offal meat (spleen?) doesn't sound great if you're not into offal, but tastes great -- tastes like steamed meat, with a faint texture of liver. Delicious with lemon and the salty caciocavallo... Very good street food! A lot of local specials is available here for a reasonable pricing! Try the Arancini, they're very delicious!

No order or sense to the place at lunchtime - you queue to pay then get a ticket then need to go to various counters to get the food - so in total queued 4 times and food went cold. Also juggling act as had to send hubby to find seat. First off no draught beer available but anyway ordered... More

We are lunch with street food. It was just good and tasty. Good service. Nice location on the little square next to the church. Do go inside to see the old kitchen.

What a disappointment! Food was good, atmosphere was good, service was atrocious. The rudest staff I have ever come across. Not one smile. They obviously all hate working there, and hate anyone who eats there too, as by choosing to eat there you are prolonging the pain of them working in an environment the so obviously detest. The wrong item... More

Watch your change carefully at this place as at least some of the waiters have a scam going. I went to pay one of them, "Antonio" (he would not provide his last name) at the cash register. The bill was about 12 Euros. I gave him a 50 Euro note that was basically a brand new, unfolded note. He had... More

Service poor, non-english speakers. Food average, the waiter litterally kidnapped my plate prior finishing the meal!! Overpriced place, I do not advise it.

Food at the Antica Focacceria is good. It's a very famous place, well known by locals as my girlfriend from palermo sayd. You can see that everything is well done, in the typical, traditional way. I've tried almost everything and it was good but the thing that really impressed me was the commitment of the owner. A guy that openly... More
