We ate here on our first night in Catania. As we were staying at the Hotel Royal and this is the restaurant in the Hotel Royal we ate here. As it was our first night after a long day's travel we only wanted a light meal but the restaurant was capable of offering much more. I'm unlikely to return to... More

As a Catania native, having lived in many places, this was an awful dinner with frozen putrid swordfish and a tasteless grilled tuna. Excellent service, though.

As a family of 5 we had dinner at the restaurant of Hotel Royal where we are staying, after a long day visiting the Etna. The waiter, multilingual, was very helful giving us various lical wine options. We opted for an Etna DoC called Norma, light and tasty. The children had handmade pasta with butter simply delicious and we had... More

Disconcerting to enter a rooftop restaurant with a great view in a tourist city and see no other diners. But the waiter/maitre d' could not have been more friendly and helpful, the food was terrific - including a few items on the house - and the price very reasonable.

Fabulous view, very good starters (grilled fish, grilled vegetables with cheese, local food 12€), excellent wine (Nero d'avola, 5€ per big glass), and catch of the day fish (sword fish with pistachio toppings and grilled vegetables, 20€). One of the best fish I ever had! The waiter made the dinner an exceptional event.

Best fish I have ever eaten. Lovely roof terrace in the CIty Centre. Surprisingly inexpensive and great service.

In a historic and central part of the city - surprised it wasn't more crowded given the fantastic views and elegant but relaxed atmosphere. Service was very friendly and helpful and the antipasti were great. Seconds were interesting but slightly less successful and the desert was super delicious.

Once you get up to the terrace, view and ambiente are quite attractive, the entrance through the hotel is a bit strange. Service was impeccable, antipasti were quite creatively prepared and quite tasty, secondi good, but not outstanding, deserts - especially the chocolate cake - delicious. Perfect for a romantic dinner for two, away from the Catania crowds.
