I was in Catania on holiday and I consulted Tripadvisor for a casual dinner, given the positive reviews, I decided to visit "La cucina dei colori". Apparently everything seemed to go well until, at the time of ordering, the holder, with some pretty strong language, verbally attacks a group of children playing in the table next to ours. Whereas it... More

If you like it vegetarian and local then this is for you. They have a daily menu to chose from (around ten dishes) and if you wish you can also mix them. I tried three different dishes, couscous- pannelle (a typical dish) and broccoli with cheese. All was excellent.

Great updated Sicilian menu -- traditional & modern -- with vegan options and very clean food. Good prices.

Good vegetarian buffet. You pick how many items and pay based on that. They will fill up the plate for you. It is welcome change from the seafood and pizzeria/panini options.

The food and service are , its a bit expansive ( around 19 each with dessert) but it worth. Everything is fresh and on season.

Lovely space and great flavor profiles and unusual ingredients could be improved by being served hot, not tepid, and more attentive service.

I am still amazed by this. A vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Catania. Two years ago when I told my friends back in Sicily that I was vegetarian a roaring "mormorio" made the table tremble. "you are not going to eat prosciutto anymore?!". I felt the locals thought that being vegetarian was in the list of capital sins. Nowadays, coming back to... More

Personally, I wasn't impressed with the cuisine. The concept to serve different menu every day using only local and fresh products in itself is really great, but I found the cuisine quite plain, no taste explosions, I disliked some of the dishes.. They give you an opportunity to have a mixed menu of different dishes of the day, this is... More

It's the best place in Catania where you can eat healthy food, simple and vegetarian. Also once you get in you will feel like at home, even better then! You should go at list once and I am pretty sure you can't wait to come back. Thanks to Salvo THE BOSS and Peppe THE PHILOSOPHER. Marilena
