Just an incredible meal. As the review subject says it really was an amazing meal. Antipasto, alla Norma, & veal with mozzarella. Blew me away! Not sure why anyone would give this place a bad review. Idiots!

Both guide books raved about this restaurant and as it was near where we were staying we gave it a go. Guide book quoted services slow- it certainly was but worth the wait - it wasn't. We decided to share a meat anti pasto. 3 thin slices of sausage with 10 thick wedges of cheese. - Unpalatable. We waited at... More

Recommended by my hotel. A real family restaurant with local specialities, very tasty, and excellent value for money. Just don't be in a hurry - mainly staffed by Maria the cook and her son, and it is popular, so they take their time.

Today evening we have tried this familiar restaurant with my family. We have eaten 2different Antipasti (mix from home made salami, olives, grilled paprika, cheeses... 6 & 7€/portion) were delicious. Then my familymembers have eaten different pastas: a la Norma, la Palermo, and with seafood. They were all nice but I ordered "Veal Palermo style" which was a fully dried out... More

We arrived at the restaurant at 4pm after a treck in the heat with two toddlers after reading the lonely planet recommendation. At first the place was shut but peering through the window managed to catch the proprietors eye and she welcomed us in to the empty restaurant with gusto. I was unsure at first as it felt a bit... We were the first to arrive at 17:50. It took them 2 hours for cold antipasti and 2 pastas to serve. I'm ok with waiting but this is crazy. Not worth the wait. Food is ok. Personnel is great. But waiting makes it annoying.

We tried her door at 4pm, desperate for some lunch. It's locked. I try again and to my surprise she opens the door. We ask if she's closed? Si. When do you open? Six. I put on my best "you cannot be serious, do you know how hungry I am" look ....... but nicely. A moment passes. Oh come in... More

We found the place on lonely planet with an amazing review. We were so looking forward to our dinner. The place totally lacks atmosphere or even some music. 1 waiter for all tables and the food took forever! We waited 90 min for the main dish. The food was average to bad. Starter was plenty but heartless. Pasta de la... More

This restaurant gives the feeling of having seen better days. The decoration was rather tired and the atmosphere subdued. We arrived at 8.30, there were just three other couples though it did pick up later. Service for us was quite prompt and pleasant from the one waiter, but then they were not that busy and I don't know how he... More

Food is quite good but expect service to be slow and it doesn't come out at the same time. There were three couples in the half of the restaurant, and one dish was sent out to each table. The German couple were beside themselves but we assured them that we had read service was very slow. I can't see this... More
