Tucked in behind the fish market, this Osteria served us a fantastic lunch. My twelve year old loved his squid ink pasta. The mixed antipasto platter included ten different small plates. Everything is fresh and tasty. For mains, we enjoyed the fish stew and pasta with scampi and artichokes, which are in peak season right now. A wonderful meal.

The location of the restaurant in the fish market is great experience! The selection of available freshseafood dishes is impressive. We had high expectations, but unfortunatley the service felt rushed, as was food. We ordered three different kind seafood pastas-all of them did not met expectations. Portions per price ( 13-16€) were quite small, and really lacked in taste. The... More

If you love seafood your eyes will pop when entering this restaurant in the heart of the market. You can put together your own antipasti plate and then select your fish. $200 for four people was very reasonable for this quality of fish. Wines could be better but all in all a fun and tasty experience.

Very popular with the locals. This was recommended by the driver we hired at Catani. Pasta was good. Fresh fish is sold at 65 Euros per kilo. The dinner tab could be pricey if one is not aware of the pricing structure. The food was as good as other restaurants we tried but less pricey, and did not exceed the... More

It's hard (or easy at the same time) to write a review for a restaurant where everything is perfect. The service is good, the owner is polite and the food is just amazing. Let the owner tell you what to try out...you won't be DISAPPOINTED!

We were having a short stay in Catania and our guide book recommended this restaurant in the fish market. It took us a little time to find it. The staff were very helpful and we choose a selection of fish to be fried. It was beautifully presented and we chose grilled vegetables as an accompaniment. Again these were superb. The... More

This small restaurant is located near the old Fish Market of Catania so, apart from the authentic charm of the place, all the food is fresh, specially the seafood and fish. They had an excellent bread and the service was also ok. The fish menu was delicious.

This restaurant was recommended by a restaurant owner in Siracusa where we had amazing meals, therefore we had high expectations. The location is amazing, in the middle of the fish market, which is an experience itself. We had one mixed raw fish starter and it was generous, of very high quality, well presented and of good value for money, whilst... More

My wife, daughter and I went to Catania for the Sta Agata feast last week and decided to have lunch at the Osteria Antica Marina. We had the mixed antipasto and then three different plates of pasta, including two with sea urchins' sauce and another with sugo nero, all washed down with a nice bottle of white wine. The Osteria... Me and my mom went to this restaurant to have lunch after reading some good reviews on Tripadvisor and Lonely Planet. We arrived there around 13h00 and got a table inside. After having trying to clarify the itens on the menu, the waiter called me to show me a tray full of shrimps, fishes, squid and mussels telling me that... More
