Very very expensive for mediocre food and a okay view. Do not recommend for normal travellers. A HUGE location and view premium is charged :(

Looking for a nice place for lunch near our accommodation in the Castello district we decided on this seaside restaurant. In the bright sunshine and gentle breeze of a Sardinian afternoon, we chose Librarium. We came up to reception and we were asked whether we...wanted lunch or just drinks. We responded that we would have drinks and then probably order lunch. The place was 3/4 empty but we were told that if we wanted a seaside table we must have lunch. We readily agreed. What followed was a wonderful Al fresco dining experience. Our waiter was very professional. I had the sea food soup, with lots of mussels in the shell, squid, eel and shrimp in a tomato broth. My wife had wonderful lasagna. Cold local beers. Sardinian dessert with honey.More

Fine food. With a spectacular view from the top of the west wall of the Castello Quarter. And a glorious sunset.

Good food in a great location looking over the walls of the city. Meal for 2 with drinks and wine was about £100, decent food and service

We had an 8 pm reservation and arrived early which was not an issue. We had cocktails, New York Sour and Bees Knees. Both were in the sweet side but tasty. We had an appetizer of sardines - very good then ate the Culurgiones with...grilled Picanha (Sirloin Cap) which was cooked perfectly. Great food and service. Highly recommend.More

The restaurant is in a fantastic location with spectacular views across the city. It is the perfect place to enjoy the evening sunset. The food was great & the wines delicious and the service good. It is a bit pricey but we felt worth it.

Cards on table: I like travel, I like experiencing culture and learning about local history, ecology, food, wine, language etc. I absolutely love cagliari. People are ingratiating, personable, love their country and city, & love attempts to speak Italian though they will happily try English....In 9 days, Cafe Librarium Nostrum was a Lowlight. Several empathic waiters were here, we didn’t get one. Perhaps my whole experience was clouded by him, but it’s no secret, first experiences count, right? Let me be clear, we didn’t eat, so I can’t comment on the food much. But our waiter was unhelpful, virtually scoffed at my wife when she asked if it were possible to eat, didn’t like the request for a certain vacant seat, and said the WiFi wasn’t working. Unlike his compatriots he resented being asked if he spoke English as, apparently, this was an insult, obviously he does! Also, when we asked a different waiter about the WiFi they set up this up with no fuss. You make your point a conclusions. There are just 2 wines available by glass. The Carignano has been better presented in other establishments here and in Sanluri. This was the wrong side of up on room temp. The accompaniments were free but consisted of doughy breads and crisps - or, as significant parts of the world still insist on calling them, chips. I spat one out. They were nearly all stale, one in particular was also soggy. Wouldn’t go back, even if I were able to be forward thinking and tied enough to book 3 days in advance. The views are potentially stunning but business is clearly too easy and not shaped by regulars who vote with their feet.More

This spot has a fine view overlooking the harbour, the city, the airport and general people watching. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and the ambience is what you really appreciate. You need to book if you want a good table,...but all outdoor tables offer good visibility.More

Yes, astonishing view. Nonetheless, I have to say that this place has lost quality, attention to detail and attention to customer, compared to years ago. We ordered three cocktails, poorly presented and pretty average, as of taste. One of the cocktails was virgin: honestly for...9 euros you would expect something more sophisticated than bottled juice. We will not come back.More

Terrible daiquiri, mostly sugar syrup, touch of rum and no fresh fruit ! (except when I squeezed the lime in). Great view, indifferent waiters. There must be better places for an after dinner drink in Cagliari

The spot is great, but the staff is rude and spoiled with good reviews. I had to leave without ordering eventhough I speak Italian. Try another kitchen or bar!

This restaurant was very close to our apartment. We arrived from a delayed late night flight needing food and the staff kindly put something together even though the kitchen was closed. The cafe opens early and is good for a jump start coffee and croissant...at the start of the day. We had a more relaxed dinner on the terrace one night during our stay which was good, but not quite as exceptional as one might expect from the hype or the prices. However, the location high above the city makes for a stunning sunset dinner or aperitif to watch the world pass by and overall it gets 5 stars from me. In our case, it was a regular night-cap location to cool down a bit after making the steep walk up from the main city. It’s open late into the night, so no need to rush! Book ahead for dinner tables to avoid disappointment.More

Came around 5 in the evening. All they had were drinks and ‘snacks.’ Cold, barely reheated, basically inedible food, along with a bad attitude. About all you need to know. Just wow.

We were staying round the corner from this restaurant when in Cagliari so had lunch and dinner here during the week and also stopped in for cocktails a few times. The view is lovely and the atmosphere is very relaxing with nice music playing. The...drinks were good and the food was also really nice - I had pasta both meals and would recommend! Definitely worth stopping here if you are in Cagliari! We booked our table for dinner for about an hour before sunset and the views were incredible!More

I booked a table for 10 for a birthday party. The view was amazing, we started with cocktails then had dinner. tartar was little disappointing, but I had picanha grilled beef with pecorino and this was amazing. My friend had cubed beef for main which...was also disappointing so i would DEFINITELY recommend the picanha if you are eating there. Good selection of local wines. With wine and meals the bill was only 50 euro each so very reasonably pricedMore
