La Botteghina is a hidden little place in the old town of Alghero, if you are ever in Alghero and feel like a nice relaxing, very agreeably priced lunch that is absolutely delicious, then here is your destination. The service is prompt, friendly and very quick. Giuseppe will tell you everything that is on the menu, the specials etc, and... More

One of the many good restaurants in the smaller side streets a little away from the main throng of tourists. Had the suckling pig which was delish! Service was great...really friendly. Loved the arched and stone ceilings

Enjoyed a family lunch in a very nice atmosphere on the terrace. Rice radicchio was well prepared, the kids enjoyed a pasta with fresh tomatoes. The red house wine was good and overall a nice experience. The only regret was to not have ordered what everyone else we saw the other guests ordering but will be easily resolved through a... More

In Alghero, you have millions of restaurants, it's definitely hard to decide where to go and to find something really special. We found out by chance this great restaurant with a great terrace on the roof. We had for lunch the special pasta of the day and we just enjoyed it so much. Freshly made from the kitchen, that you... Once we found this restaurant we kept on coming back every evening. Great starters, fantastic meet and fish. And pizza. One of the best pizzas I tried in my life :) Be sure to reserve a table on the roof terrace or come early, before 8 PM. Avoid house wine - it is really bad. But local wines and beers... More

I visited this restaurant with a few other students from my italian language class, who had already found this hidden gem. We were seated on the upstairs terrace and tried local dishes. The atmosphere is low key and friendly, with reasonable prices.

Good service and pleasant atmosphere but pretty disappointing food. Nothing was done very delicately or with much interest. The red house wine was dreadful. The tuna carpaccio was sliced very thick (not carpaccio at all) and piled heavily on the plate with only a small bit of arugula. The Sardinian pasta was good with a fresh tasting tomato sauce but... I can't base my review on the food as I didn't have the opportunity to eat. We happened to walk by in the afternoon, looked at the menu, found some vegan options, booked a table for later with a very friendly and helpful member of staff and turned up later. We were seated, drinks order taken and then we tried... More

We visited the restaurant on a Monday evening, and enjoyed one of the best meals of our holidays in Sardinia. The decoration is simple, yet elegant, and the staff is very friendly. But the real treat here is the food: We had a fresh tuna salad (probably the best tuna I have ever tasted), and a platter of local cheese... More

Treat yourself and go here if you are in Alghero. One of the best places in town. Very good (local ) ingredients excellently prepared.
