Sardinian dishes and wine, good portions reasonably priced. We had the 'porcetto', paccheri with seabass and fresh tomatoes, ravioli filled with mince meat with tomato sauce. The food is very good and the Nepente wine from Oliena is delicious a bit pricy at €24 the bottle when in Oliena you can have it for €18. Overall, pleasant experience, nice al... More

Lovely restaurant tucked away in the back streets. It's relatively cheap compared to the other restaurants nearby. It's very popular so book to avoid having to wait for a table. The decor inside is lovely and very authentic. The tuna steak is delicious and the Sardinian tart starters were lovely. The suckling pork was very tender and tasty, however it... More

An excellent choice for a good local meal. The suckling pig is especially good but make sure you are there relatively early to make sure it is still available. The portions are generous, the staff is friendly and responsive and the prices are reasonable.

Vi visit this restaurant because of the great reviews on tripadvisor, but we were a bit disappointed. The restaurant is nice and it seems like a local place. The staff is friendly. We ordered the seafood menu (mussels, spaghetti vongelue, sea bass with potatoes). The mussels were really great - some of the best we have tasted in Alghero. The... More

We were first attracted to this restaurant by the good smell in the street. We had an excellent dinner, with dishes that were at the same time classical Sardinian and imaginative. For instance, the chef explained to me that the very tasty "taleggio ovino with polpo stufato e pecorino" (chopped octopus on melted cheese) was his creation. As for pasta,... More

The owner and chef has such passion when it comes to his food, with many home cured products and wine. Between service he comes out of the kitchen to meet all his guests. Situated in the old town, this restaurant serves the freshest of ingredients which has you salivating.

Ths trattoria is in the old town, two minutes walk from the sea views and city walls. While you won't have a sea view, you will find fresh, tasty meals, tempting desserts and friendly service, with very reasonable prices.

We arrived in Alghero this afternoon. We walked to old town hoping to eat on the waterfront. Our first choice was booked and when I asked for another recommendation, they recommended Trattoria Cavour. We had a wonderful meal-- it is obvious a place the locals go to as the chef/owner(?) came out and knew everyone! My tuna was perfect. Prices... More

If only we had found Giuseppe's earlier, we would probably have eaten here at least 3 times in our short week away. So so welcoming, the food was excellent, as usual I picked the best! The sucking pig was outstanding, Giuseppe & his staff so kind, genuine & friendly! If you are visiting Alghero, make sure you visit here at... More
