Our tour guide brought us here, and he paid for what gelato we all wanted. An excellent array of flavours and we enjoyed our gelato.

We went here for a snack & wi-fi following our tour of Sardinia. It was recommended by the tour guide and as he made sure to identify us as his people, it was clear the tour guide receives kick backs for customers’ purchases. No issue...as this is common practice. My issue and why I do not recommend this place was the games played by the personnel in this shop to try to get us to pay for a very bad drink. We ordered a sandwich, a glass of alcohol specific to Sardinia, a soda & another drink (6 Euros). The 6 euro drink was horrible & no one could drink more than a sip, We asked to exchange it for a 3 juice drink (exact same price - 6 Euros). The bartender took back the horrible drink full except for 3 sips and gave us the juice drink. Then there were 4 efforts to act clueless with 3 different staff members involved to try to make us pay for the drink even though they agreed to exchange it & the waitress told us we would not be charged. This left a very negative experience for this restaurant & I would NEVER patronize it again. We finally got it resolved but not until they made us late in rejoining the tour group that was held up for us returning to the cruise port. Very unhappy with these dishonest people. Avoid if you are a tourist.More

It is tough to find an open gelateria in February on a Sunday! We were happy this place was open - head to the back of the restaurant for the gelato counter; about 8-10 flavor choices which seemed about right for the (cold) time of...year. Cones are 2.50 Euro for one scoop and cups are 1.50 Euro for 1 scoop. There are small tables at which you can sit inside. The facility is located inside a former cave in the mountain, so that is kind of unusual. Grab your gelato and go wander up to the Castello!More

Who doesn’t want a gelato as you walk around this beautiful city. Have a seat in one of bench’s in the area and people watch. Replenish the calories you’ve burned off wandering street by street. You deserved this.

Not sure if this system is used elsewhere, but its the first time I have experienced it; you line up in the limited space to choose what you’d like and pay (a rather abrupt lady). You receive a docket. With your docket, you must negotiate...your way to the gelato bar, drinks bar, or food bar (depending on what you’ve ordered). Interestingly, and rather poorly designed, the cashier is towards the back of the premises, past the sandwiches and drinks, but before the gelato bar right at the back. I ordered a two-scoop gelato cone. Then got in the queue crowded in the back at the gelato bar to wait and wait while only one girl served. It seemed that, despite the long wait, many customers could not make up their minds about which flavours they wanted. I guess the myriad choices of flavours may have been overwhelming for some, however, my chosen Pistachio and Caffe flavours were nice. Even though I enjoyed my ice-cream, I am not sure the effort was commensurate with the reward. Nevertheless, I am glad I experienced this place only for their strange service system.More

We sat inside in the self-service/take away area. Had a 2 flavour ice cream and an espresso. Both were good. Ice-cream maybe a bit over priced but the venue is really special inside - like ur in a cave. We liked it

Seated in a table..have waited for 20 min. Seeing their staff just passing by without even an Hello. Got sick,We just left and they didn't even realized..Not definitely an example of Sardinian hospitality, which is completely different.

Stopped here for some ice cream on a whim and liked the feel of the place - it is only a narrow bar, but nicely laid out with some glass panels in the floor covering a deep well and historical artefacts. The ice cream was...liked by all - I went for a traditional lemon - sharp and tangy - but the cheesecake and the coconut also went down well with the wife and daughter. After a couple of hours, we were back in the piazza so thought we'd try the beer and cocktails. There is a small choice of beers and the red was very refreshing. My wife had a Pimms and my daughter English tea. The staff cheerfully coped with the strange English custom of needing cold milk for the tea and said they'd sold lots of Pimms because it was Wimbledon week. They then appeared with a complimentary plate full of pesto bread, tomato bread and assorted nibbles. So, it was only ice cream and beer, but a five star experience for me!More

We picked a table under an umbrella, sat down and our order was taken. A simple order of beer, tonic water, cola and an ice cream. It came with a small platter or mini sandwiches which accompanied the beer, a nice touch. The problem was...one particular waiter who was noisily rearranging all the surrounding tables and chairs resulting in him removing the umbrella from our table and placing it over empty tables and chairs! Talk about "we've had your money, now s#& off"! We did see the funny side later but behaviour like that is not what the hospitality business is about.More

Me and my girlfriend after literally 2 minutes after finished ours ice cream we have been asked to leave the table because we already finished to eat. Is the first time I experience something like that, for sure I will not come back in this...gelateria anymore. The ice cream is not anymore good like before and there is plenty of other gelateria better then that nearby. Cagliari Is my city I born here and lived for 24 years but this kind of experience coming as a tourist make me disappointed and nervous.More
