This is a great escape in Taranto - only locals , no tourists. Great seafood , excellent pastas and we really enjoyed the risotto f di mare. The olive oil Decarlo is worth to mention, everything we tried was worthwhile ... You just need to take your time for good food- but this is theme for of enjoying vacation .

Great food, went with the recommendation of the owner and had fabulous seafood, to start octopus cooked in Negroamaro, calamari, fried fish, followed by spaghetti cooked in sauce with Angler fish, all fabulous and a fabulous bottle of white, and then another, great relaxing lunch!

In Taranto excellent restaurants are scarce, this one is on the same sidewalk as the Museum. Even if it was just an ordinary day for lunch the place was full, including the front terrace, I was glad to have the last free table. I do not frequently give 5/5 but after a very well presented and delicious suite of starters... More

We enjoyed a long lunch with several light courses. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Charming place, excellent service , unique ambiance. Great seafood antipasti. The vongole were tasty, fair prices, good recommendations, you can't ask for more.

We got tipped by some local people on this restaurant and it was not a disappointment. We were with two families including 2 small children. as suggested by the locals we ordered the seafood antipasti which were really good and highly recommended. They have apparently also deals with the local museum just one block away. The pasta was also excellent.... More

We went last week with a friend who had visited the place a couple of years ago. Standards definitely slipping. Food still okay but less refined. The fritto misto was overdone and we asked for the pasta al vongole to be spicy which it was not and undercooked as well. We were served by the owner first but later by... More

Know this restaurant since 15 years, and it is a "must" when we are at Taranto very nice small tipical trattoria. Ask the waiter or owner for suggestion . The written Menu is only a help for not local people. Goos local wines ! a restaurant where you have to eat seafood & fish and you are sure to be... More

A very attractive restaurant, with cute photos on the wall of the restaurant and team in the old days. They were almost full on a Tuesday lunch time, which is unusual around here. However, many things were not available which were on the (freshly printed) menu. The wine we selected was not available and the waiter opened an alternative without... More

After three hours of Milan's sights we ended up in the Galleria at the Duomo at lunchtime. Trattoria Al Gatto Rosso, thanks to Sergio, provided an exquisite noonday meal. Osso buco was to die for, and my wife's pasta with tartuffe unforgettable.
