We were taken for lunch at this little restaurant on the busy street - other restaurants nearby clearly catering for business people etc. The service was very personal with the owner making suggestions - mixed antipasti including seafood (prawns, octopus, sea urchins), vegetables, cheeses, .... it was huge!) I had wonderful tuna, my companions had sea bass. and a great... More

My boyfriend and I read the good reviews on here and decided to go for dinner yesterday (Monday) evening. After being seated and given our menu, the waiter walked off, returned with the food for the table next to ours and then didn't come back! After sitting around for ages, thinking maybe this place is just really laid back, we... More

This restaurant was very cosy with good service, English speaking staff and English menu, and most importantly great food and good wine, reasonable prices. As many others recommended, we tasted the grilled tuna with pistachio and pecorino cheese. That was absolutely delicious! We tasted also the chocolate soufflé and a typical pistachio ice cream with ricotta which was also fantastic.... More

We stumbled upon this place while walking around, in the search for a great dinner; and we found it :) Didn't eat much, but what we had was awesome. Service is great and the owner came around once in a while to check if everything is allright or if we needed something else. If you go there, consider ordering the... More

Sliced beef was like a chewinggum. Grilled tuna was very good. I was little disappointed. Points 2/5. Good wines. Easy to find.

La Muraya was near to my hotel, so when I saw the restaurant, I wanted to try. I'm vegetarian so options were limited. I had to eat pasta. At the end, didn't like it.

This restaurant is ranked among the top 20 restaurants in Bari so we definitely wanted to try it out. In a nutshell: "local wine" was pointless, food was tasteless compared to the other excellent restaurants we tried in Bari (for the same price). We really had the feeling that this restaurant is a tourist trap ... Too bad as it... More

You can go wrong in this restaurant and the service was excellent. Land and sea appetizer is a great starter. We were a party of five and each tried a different pasta, all were excellent! But the one with the lemon sauce was amazing (we order am extra portion) good wine at reasonable prices. Zambuca, grappa and dark chocolate top... More

Went for lunch after visiting nearby old town. They had an English menu and the owner directed us to some lovely food. The skid ink pasta with clams and mussels was the best I have ever had. The fish dishes were fine however next time I would stick to the seafood pastas. The local Puglia white wine as recommended by... More

And this is what this place is, from beginning to end. No frills but great food and great environment. The owner, Nino, keeps coming round and guiding you in what to take. Take his advice, as it is good advice and don't worry about prices, they are good too. My wife and I shared a crudo seaplatter and we started... More

Description
Outstanding, cozy and refined atmosphere, impeccable service make restaurant La Muraya an absolute reference point in Bari. In La Muraya all the authentic flavors of the local cuisine are worthy home space. The welcome and hospitality that the staff, led expertly by the owner Nino renowned for its "turn" the tables to make sure that everything goes well, next in search of ingredients kilometer zero and first choice are just a few of the strengths of La Muraya. Especially appreciated are the dishes of fish (the famous "ravioli" with squid ink and "spaghetti alla chitarra" with sauce of cicadas Greek) fixed menu and daily specials (which vary depending on the raw materials available).
