So enjoyed our food here, the ravioli was divine as was the steak and the tuna. One of the best meals I have even eaten. Service and some was also good. It was a shame that our food all came quite quickly so we weren't there too long and the atmosphere was a bit lacking as we seemed to be... More

Visting Verona, i did a reservation at La Fontanina, because i wanted also to give a ring to my girl (wife) as a gift. We ordered food and then magic started. We are both food lovers and we really like the food there. I was amazed by the Smoked Potato Pure, i could not find a recipe not even on... More

We could not disagree more with latest reviews. This has a quirky ambience and food ranging from very good (desserts )to stunning starters and pasta Nero in particular . Service discreet and excellent. Not obsequious Michelin style with which we are familiar. Local wines recommended were exceptional and reasonable. It was our second visit and look forward to the best... More

I have eaten in enough Michelin restaurants to know this is far from it. The food was poor to say the least. Verona has incredible local cuisine and wines on offer, however over €200 later, I was quite disappointed at what should have been the highlight restaurant of our trip. I should have trusted the other reviews which urged against... More

We have visited La Fontanina with my wife in a nice June evening. We take capesante for starters, delicious with a modern touch of redberry. The nero seppia pasta with aglio, olio, peperoncino is the best ever - very exquisite. We were not very much impressed by the rombo or tonno as a main course, tasty but only average. Deserts... We chose this restaurant because of it's Michelin star and were disappointed. There is a significant gap between the advertised and actual prices. Food was average, definitely not Michelin star worthy. We had almost the same menu (and of the same quality!) one day before in a different restaurant in Verona for 1/3 of the price.

Advertised for 65 eur per person degustation menu, waiter said 100, later this meant 100 plus cuvert plus obligatory tip of 10%, plus wine of course. Food was below average for a michellin star restaurant. Toilet was awfull and small. Even if we asked for a taxi because it rained, they did not call it, we were totally wet. Inside... More

So it's a fun, high quality experience for a treat. We really liked the decor and ambience and the hospitality and waiting staff were exceptional. Yes the food was mainly excellent, and of course michelin star, however even taking that into consideration we felt it was over-priced. Choose wisely: I really love food, and would rarely turn down anything, but... More

Excellent food atmosphere. The hosts were amazing. Not to mention the wine..... We booked the restaurant last minute but they fitted us in even though the place was full.

We chose this restaurant only because of its Michelin star and were very disappointed! I've been before in 1 and 2 star Michelin restaurants in Lisbon and Paris and I have an idea of the expected level of quality, food and services. The restaurant is located in a very old romantic villa, interestingly decorated inside. The interior is very small... More
