A bit of a hidden gem. Staff worked hard to get the the cover as dining in Verona is very competitive. Amuse Bouche and Prosecco on the house. Excellent food especially the cod stew and Linguine blue lobster. Wine list fantastic but not affordable to me although the local Soave was better than any UK super market purchase. At £100... More

This restaurant is, appropriately, tucked away near the old fish market. The search is well worth it. Fish is imported from throughout Europe and only the best will do. We had turbot which was impeccably grilled. The skin fell off in one piece. The fish was hot and so so tasty. All ingredients for each course were well chosen an of... More

Extremely high quality of seafood (which is not easy finding everywhere) as well as creative dishes. Very strong culture of wine combined with each dish and the nice thing is that the owners explain you very kindly about the wine you are going to drink. Very professional staff.

Service was arrogant and slow. Had a feeling we were disturbing personel. Waiter had an serious attitude problem and he let it show on his face. Too many wines (winelist is a book), no recommendations on wines. Menu itself was too short compared to the winelist. Antipasti and desert was ok, but main course was terrible.

We were seated promptly. The menu looked nice. We waited about 10 minutes but no one came to ask if we wanted drinks/food. At one instance I caught the waitress' eye and she just looked away. At the end we decided to just walk out.

We ate here on a busy Saturday evening and the food and service was excellent. Really good pasta and the mango and crab sushi was very tasty and quite unusual. Definitely one I would have again. Verona really does seafood well and my octopus here was beautiful

After eating here I was shocked to see other reviews. I fully expected a top ten restaurant in Verona because our entire experience was great. We had sushi, oysters, and the beef tenderloin, all of which were unbelievable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GREAT MEAL IN VERONA.

I have been frequenting this restaurant since 2005 and have been there , also with friends at least 25 times. To cut a long story short: it has degraded to a mediocre place where the service is below reasonable standard. Although the owner knows us by face very well we noted unacceptable deviations in the dishes. An example: my wife's... More

Re-acquainted myself with Al Cristo. Although in the past I have been less than complimentary, on this occasion Al Cristo was excellent. Delicious food, a brisk but not pushy service, and even the odd smile .... The terrace under the arches is a delight, hidden by plants, it's cool and breezy. Indoors the restaurant is amazingly designed and worth just... More

Dropped by looking for a relaxing dinner for 2. Had grilled octopus, pasta with clams and lobster with a glass of prosecco wine. Food was well prepared and good tasting. Service was quick and careful but is missing that "touch" that makes a perfect dining experience. Pricing is adequate.
