A colleague of mine, who is from this area, recommended this place to me. I arranged to have dinner here on my first evening in Verona ... and just loved the welcoming entrance, the displayed salumi and the cozy tables. I was dining alone, but sat next to an Italian couple, who conversed with me a bit. The wait staff... More

The barman in our hotel recommended this restaurant and we don't regret having followed his advice. I had a delicious risotto al barolo, my friend a pike salad who's taste reminded me a lot of my nonna's specialities. The restaurant has a lot of traditional dishes on the menu and the location is old and typical. Loved it!

Had prebooked this place by phone for our first night in Verona. It was a lovely experience from the minute we walked in. They needed a few minutes for our table to be ready so we had drinks which turned out to be on the house. Food is traditional Veronese, everyone was very friendly, atmosphere is buzzy and there are... More

Eating at this restaurant, was such an amazing treat. We tried for two nights before to eat in this restaurant, but was booked up all the time. The staff were brilliant, attentive without being over the top, they were so sweet. The food was so authentic, packed with flavour, the best of quality, cooked really well. When we return to... A fabulous dining experience in Verona. Well worth searching out. Prices won't break the bank. Worth booking in advance to ensure a table.

Surprised by this although located among the tourist trail it doesn't cater for them instead keeping the old style Italian restaurant. Food was good and the waiters helpful had a great evening what more could one ask! Oh I forgot no Pizzas fantastic I like them but they do not represent Italian food certainly not in Italy

When I went for dinner at La Taverna di Via Stella, I had one of the best meals ever! It was a pumpkin ravioli with a butter sauce, and also Panna Cotta. The service was really fast, and everyone was friendly. It is really one of the best places i have eaten in forever. It's so Italian, and the paintings... More

We've travel almost entire western Europe, fortunately my wife and I picked almost very best Traditional Italian restaurant in city of Verona. First of all, Verona is famous for the Romio & Juliet and downtown has many expensive restaurants (we presume, because for the out-door patio right front of the Colosseum). Most of expensive restaurants was almost full, and it... More

Lovely old-style authentic Italian restaurant, buzzing with a mix of tourists and locals. Menu a bit confusing but we decided to gamble and try some authentic dishes including polenta. A little disappointing when they arrived because the polenta was literally like groundmeal porridge - our mis0understanding but took the edge off the meal hence the good and not excellent rating.... Spent the weekend in Verona and met friends here for lunch on the Sunday. The staff are super friendly, helpful and very accomadating. Lunch for six with an excellent Rapasse was 130 EUR. The food was amazing and when the bill came I was shocked. Excellent value for money and great service.
