I would feel terrible giving this place 1 star, but we just left and I still have the taste of cat food in my mouth! I have never in my life left a bad review, and I'm far from a picky eater, but as our grande finale evening in Venice, we wanted someplace nice with a canal view. We were... More

This was our final evening meal during our stay, and to be honest, we just turned up and looked to see which the more popular restaurants were. The dishes we had - such as a selection of seafood starters - were both inventive and tasty, and great if you have an inquisitive palate. However, if you're looking for more basic... More

Food was ok but compared to other places in the city I would not recommend this. We loved the view so we decided to sit down. Reasonable pricing for drinks but that is all I would recommend there.

We had a drink here, a couple of Aperol Spritz's. The location is fantastic with a great view of the Grand Canal. The waiters were friendly but I would avoid the food. The food was extremely poor, deep fried and overpriced.

This is a good place to have a drink or two. The location is very close to the Rialto bridge, but away from the most crowded tourist places. The view is great to the Grand Canal. Food is nothing special but decent and the service works fairly well.

View of grand canal ambiance was wonderful but food and service very mediocre. Asked for cutlery then napkins then olive oil that was empty and when asked was never replaced at all and almost felt like we were being ignored... We are very easy to please so this was an epic fail... Plus 5 euro cover hahaha!!!

Beautiful setting which you pay a cover for, poor service and mediocre food. Not a great restaurant and would not recommend it and especially not for the prices they charge. Had to beg for waiter service and then everything was a real mission for them Venice is expensive but this was Rubbish.

Had a three piece of tapas. One was really good. The other two really not. Service was kind of slow. Had to wait a lot to get attention. Would not go back.

Best restaurant of our holiday. We only found it on the last night, suspect if we had found it earlier we might have been there every night. Fabulous food, and marvellously attentive service. We had a table upstairs overlooking the Grand Canal, but there are lots of tables alongside the canal (outside) that would have been perfect if the weather... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
