Considering that my partner is italian and i have been here for a whilr myself, it is obvious that this place earns money on tourists that are not familiar with italian kitchen. We ate in this restaurant for lunch and ordered bigoli in salsa (type...More

First, we made a reservation on Quandoo.it which was confirmed via email. When we showed up, they had no record of it, but they seated us anyway, even though they were almost fully booked. It was a cold night, and we would have preferred to...More

Booked a table for 6 people, turned up and they told us that they were fully booked, a lady who worked there was happy to accommodate but the waiter was very rude, would not go back, went to another restaurant around the corner which was...More

That is a must go restaurant in Venice! The food is yummy, the service very attentive and sympathetic. The localization is cozy and far from the crowd. The carbonara sauce is just amazing and all the ingredients seems to be carefully chosen and cooked with...More

We visited one lunch time on recommendation. We arrived and were told there was no room for us. When we pointed out a spare table and a few chairs sitting to one side, the proprietor reluctantly called over "Franco" to pull them out and seat...More

We popped here without a reservation, they were very busy but still managed to fit us and a few others in outside by the canal. If you want to feel like you are in a true Venetian restaurant (not touristy) this is great. Plenty of...More

We had a very good leisurely lunch (pasta special of asparagus & cheese on pasta shells with wine and after lunch espresso) along the far end of Fondamenta Cannaregio while we soaked up some prime canal side action at this simple neighborhood trattoria. It’s a...More

Recommended by a local friend, Trattoria Dalla Marisa was a lovely lunch restaurant with the best value of our entire trip! The fee was exactly as advertised - 17 euros for two courses, a bottle of water, and an espresso after the meal. No hidden...More

My wife and I walked an hour to get to that restaurant and at the door it says no credit card. If you want to eat there make sure you got 50euro on you or go somewhere else. I had to much expectation.

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
