After a full day of wandering around Venice, I happened upon this little gem. Quiet street .. Far from the maddening crowd. While traveling for business, solo dinner is not uncommon. And they made the night lovely. I had the basic spaghetti with clams and mussels with some house white wine. Perfection. There were enough clams and mussels to be... More

We tried to eat here for lunch but it was full - there is a very good value lunch menu. Dinner is more expensive but still good value, Excellent house white wine only 14euros. Food was excellent - prawn and avocado, tuna tartare starters. Lovely grilled cuttlefish main and pasta. Very good service.

Amazing dinner here. Had the prawn pasta for a main and it was the best pasta I had in Italy, very big call! Lovely atmosphere, I would suggest booking

Almost fall in love with The handsome tall owner. Also My parents are very happy with the fresh seafood, esp to my mother's picky stomach. The price is also reasonable with big portion. 3 person with a bill of 70euros. We would really recommend for a lovely dining here. And wish we have time to try out the lunch tomo!

Relatively easy spot to find away from the crowds, had my wife, daughter (ten) and I eager to stop by for a nibble while staying at the nearby 'Ca BonVicini'. Menus readily displayed outside and TA reviews had us looking forward to laid back meal after a day of wondering the hectic labyrinthine streets. We arrived early and were readily... More

We came here based on the reviews on trip advisor. I was expecting something special but our meals were in fact the opposite. The starter was okay, the produce was fresh. The main course of fish that my partner had was disappointing, he could've made it himself and my ravioli was bland. The service was poor, I asked for the... More

I've stumbled upon this cute little restaurant while visiting the museum across. The place looks cozy, I stepped in at noon and it was packed with tourists munching away on different pasta dishes. The place is managed by the owner who attends to all the customers that walked in providing them with a menu and table. He seemed overwhelmed muttered... More

Delicious meal and lovely staff. Visited twice and did not disappoint! Their seafood dishes are a must try! Ordered the fried calamari with vegetables, seafood pasta which was perfect and also the noodles with bolognese sauce. Restaurant is both good for couples and groups. Lively vibe.

Why this restaurant is not at least in the top 10 beats me. Slightly off the beaten track this restaurant offers amazing home cooked Italian food, great wines and friendly service. The service is first class and attentive. This restaurant has a small outdoor area as well as an air conditioned restaurant. Advisable at weekends to reserve a table as... More

We were simply wandering around aimlessly and the menu options is what grabbed our attention It's not even anything special on the outside, blending in amongst the residential surroundings without any outdoor seating Seated quickly, we soon picked up on a lot of local accents, giving you an impression it is popular with the locals We went with the stereotypical... Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
