It's always a good sign when there is a queue of people, including locals, trying to get a table ! We had to phone and book a table for that evening. There is no member of staff with the job of welcoming and seating people;...More

Recommended by our Airbnb host and near our apartment. Small and busy with a lively atmosphere- middle aged male waiters with little charm (which is good!). The food was pretty awful - one dish which was described as anchovies with onions had 2 anchovies. It...More

Since the food was so deliciously prepared, two evenings in the row we ate in this restaurant! Service was outstanding, thanks to Stefano who introduced us to local Venetian cuisine

Easily the worst meal we had in Venice. While the place's atmosphere is good, you are better off buying food at the nearby fast food joint. Servers were disinterested overall. Our bread was old. The menu is blah, and the prices are steep for what...More

Waited half an hour since we were recommended to this place. Asked two waiters for seating but they didn't even respond. We had to walked away.

We came across this gem by chance and were so glad that we got a table because when we left, the queue was down the passageway. The staff are lovely and helpful and put up with our Italian. The food was really nice and the...More

We popped in just for drinks a couple of times as it was close to our accommodation. Decided to eat there on our last night. The queue was out the door and on to the street but we decided to wait the 20 minutes to...More

We ate once at this restaurant, and had we not been late returning from a visit to Burano, would have done so a second time. This is a good place for local dishes, with good pasta and, of course, an emphasis on seafood. It is...More

one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime
neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side
streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals
