We had an afternoon lunch, bellini 17€, was not bad but overpriced, club sandwich 28€, good, served with fries and ketchup, also overpriced but again good. If you go to venice, try it, but wear pants, and it's not easy with 36°c. Very old furniture, overall friendly staff, old bar and everything is very expensive, a lot of people goes... More

Almost too good to be true this place is so famous but gives no impression of being so.We were treated so kindly and the staff were so authentic it was amazing. And the Bellini...the best in the world of course.

There isn't even a sign on the door. Unknowingly, I used to jog straight past on my early morning run from the Luna Baglioni Hotel along Venice’s Grand Canal. Yet the glitterati have been known to fly from London just for lunch ! This is the legendary Harry’s Bar, favourite haunt of Kings, acclaimed writers like Hemingway and Coward, and... More

In Harry's Bar you can try the best Bellini in this city! I absolutely recommend to everyone to find this bar and taste their famous cocktail! The waiters are very nice! I really liked the atmosphere!

Stumbled upon harrys bar after being at San Marco piazza. We were welcomed professionally and a waiter took us upstairs to our table as we're only there for a drink. Had a gin tonic and a daiquiri and there wasn't any shortage of alcohol in them! We probably should have had the Bellini, but we didn't know that this was... More

Not quite what we expected for the infamous home of the Bellini but we had a wonderful time at Harry's! Prices were quite high for food but servings are massive and the staff were extremely friendly and really made our night!! Will be back when in Venice!

I loved being in Harry's! It's like stepping back in time, where the waiters are all decked out and you feel like Ernest Hemingway, Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles could be right behind you (they frequented this haunt in their day). You don't have to spend a fortune here if you don't have that kind of dough, just come for... More

We had great expectations and found price gouging. Harry's Bar on the Grand Canal. Home of the original Bellini! Very expensive!!! 16.5€ for one Bellini.

A small cocktail lounge, very art deco and immaculate serice. Cocktails are pricey but the Bellinis are good. No shorts allowed, so wear trousers. Lovely to pop into before a night out. Always busy! A classic bar no doubt, but possibly in need of an update!

Thank Ben W

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
