Always wanted to visit this place, drink a Bellini, soak up the atmosphere and think about all of the great and the good who have sat in this very same bar not the least Ernest Hemingway The bar (downstairs) I was told has not been changed since the 1930's and the decor is from a bygone age So the Bellini... Best dinner in venice, went three times!! You cannot miss this place, old school classic delicious. Yes, it's expensive, your on vacation, who cares. Ravioli with veal and demi drizzle, veal canelloni, scampi Thermador, dessert crepes, all amazing! Make reservations!

First, I only give 5-stars to the absolute top handful of restaurants I've been to anywhere. Having said that, Harry's Bar is all it's cracked up to be. The bar is a scene not to be missed, but if you are fortunate enough to get a reservation and can afford it, it's an experience not to be missed. The food... More

Had to go here to have the Bellini. It is overpriced but one of those things you do when on vacation and checking out all of the famous spots. Stay away from the chicken croquets. It is just a small bar that has quite a bit of history and worth a visit. But be prepared for cost.

Over rated; expensive drinks and food. 45 euros for risotto of vegetables, 17 euros for Bellini very good and 15 euros for good dessert Better places for prices

Was recommended by a friend so we stopped in for a drink. Excellent Bellini but at those prices sure glad it was just one. Interesting atmosphere...50s vibe going on! The rating is primarily due to the absurd prices.

We were going to just have a cocktail but decided to stay for lunch. We had the set menu at 50 Euros per person which was definitely worth it, both for the food, the staff and the gorgeous view. A must do if you are in Venice.

We popped into Harry's Bar late in the afternoon, really as an experience to try. Even though most other places accept tourists wearing tidy clothes, it was obvious that Harry's really just tolerated people. We were immediately ushered upstairs, to a small room away from the main bar. The drinks are VERY expensive , 34 Euros for 2 Bellini's, I... More

It's OKAY! But, the only reason we went there is because a bartender at our hotel told us that the Bellini's at Harry's Bar were the best ones in Venice. (a) I can't believe we got sucked into such a touristy thing to do (b) the Bellini is okay, but not that great (b) seated in a small, dark area... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
