Really great service, good food and excellent value for money. Meal for two including wine and a cocktail came to 60 euros. Only thing was they only provided one tortilla with the fajitas when the portion was definitely big enough to need a couple more....They were more than happy to give us more when we asked.More

After few days in Venezia, I was looking for some Mexican food. I'm glad, that I found this place. The best chili con carne in town. The crew is really friendly. Good place to feel local vibe.

Like many others, I fancied a change from pizza and pasta. This was one of the nearest Mexican restaurant to San Marco. We were seated at our reservation time. The menu has all the usual Mexican favourites and food was served without undue delay. Good...value as well.More

We loved it here, gresg food, friendly service and reasonable prices. Glasses of wine are very small in Venice but here I could have a nice carafe for a good price. Friendly and clean, popular with locals but we received a fantastic welcome and even...had a take away on the last evening as an early start home.More

We had been to Rome, Florence and arrived in Venice just looking for something different. We came upon this place in a back street that we chanced down . We were only looking for a drink at first and settled inside for a beer and...a glass of red. The atmosphere was relaxed and the girls were friendly so we got a menu. The food was a reasonable price, and from other tables, looked tasty. The house red was only €1.50 a glass, so that is always a bonus in my book. We set outside and our food was tasty and fresh. Overall our experience was fantastic and I would recommend here to anybody looking for a quirky out of the way place while in Venice.More

We chose this great restaurant to celebrate my flatmate’s birthday. We all had delicious dishes that reminded me of my Mexican holidays: fajitas, nachos with guacamole and other sauces, chili. Sangría was amazing too. Very kind and lovely staff, typical furniture and great presentation of...Mexican dishes. Looking forward to come back again!More

Great cocktails, friendly envirmonet, tortillias, nachos and the rest all home made , food was good, dishes are filling and affordable prices in a city that is overly charging for almost everything.

We were in Venice for 3 weeks this visit and wanted an alternative to Italian for a night. We visited here last night as it was in our neighbour of Cannaregio. We were pleasantly surprised with the food and the accompanying service. We had a...‘machos nachos’ vegetarian to start (10€) which we shared then we both had a tostada for main with a side of beans and rice which was delicious! We’d recommend this place once you are a bit worn out with Italian cuisine as it was a lovely atmosphere with lots of locals present. Total bill was 36€More

My family and I (including my mother-in-law who lives in Arizona) were looking for something a little different than pizza and pasta for our last night in Venice. We found the Iguana to be just what we needed. The food was delicious and fresh, all...the different dips were really yummy. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We'd eat there again.More

Thought we try this place as we got fed up with the usual pasta and pizza but we were very disappointed there was a bad smell in the restaurant i e sewage and the food was real bad. I refuse to pay for my main...meal which was like chicken nuggets and they seem to accept this with no problemMore

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
