We had an expensive meal but it wasn't our best food. I wanted marinated sardines and Lambrusco wine. Our skilled server, Roberto, said they didn't have those items and recommended options. I had whole sea bass and my wife had a lamb dish. We had...More

Please forgive the long review but I feel that it is important to put some context behind my 5 star rating, to simply write we enjoyed our meal and give it a good rating doesn’t give justice to the meal, the people and our experience....More

Fantastic meals, great service and overall the best dining experience we have ever experienced in Venice (of many) . Do yourselves a favour and make a point of dining here - it is easy to find. Very highly recommended (say Tom from Australia sent you)

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

Not sure of the hours but we stumbled upon them fairly late and they were open .... at least 11. I’m sure time of year is a factor as well though ....
