Delicious fresh tramezzini and a spritz aperol as you stand at the counter. Friendly staff. I still dream of the tonno con cipoline - my attempts at home don't come close. Can't wait to return.

Great selection of tramezzini (including rather suprising ingredients like truffle paste) in superb prices. Fantastic service as well. If you fancy a savoury breakfast - it's your place.

We stopped by the Bar Rialto da Lollo on a Thursday for a quick lunch. Once we finally determined what we wanted from the display case of freshly made sandwiches, we just waited for 2 of the sandwiches to be grilled (so the bread could crisp and the cheese melted between the sliced meat). Great service, great sandwiches, and extremely... More

We stayed two minutes from the Rialto bridge and on the first morning wandered out to find breakfast - this was the first place we came across and I don't think we could have found better and consequently returned every morning. The food was fresh and beautifully presented and we tried something differ not every morning - At €1.70 for... More

Living in Venice, Americans might have to get used to living without the savory American breakfast, of eggs and bacon. For me, I don't care for sweets or pastry in the morning. That's where Bar Rialto comes in! Their tramezzini (soft white bread sandwiches) are some of the best in the city and just what I need for breakfast. They... More

Saw this on Tripadviser and headed there for a beer and sandwich, not disappointed. Quality great and prices low. Service pleasant. Offered too much cash and reassured "we are not the Cipriani" as server returned wads of notes. If you have a big appetite you might want a couple of these delicious sandwiches.

Hidden in behind some shops on the San Polo side of the Rialto Bridge, Bar Rialto da Lollo is our go-to place when setting off for our daily adventure. We've just returned from 3 weeks in Venice. Each time we're there we have breakfast daily at Bar Rialto da Lollo. Wonderful selection of fresh and unusual [For Americans] sandwiches at... More

The restaurant was slightly hard to find. Cappuccino was awesome. We ordered vegetarian sandwich, and that was great too.

Good bar obviously feeding the local market workers. Smile, no great pretensions. We drank Prosecco and coffee. Both good. Food looked fine, certainly many happy lunchers.

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
