Stayed here for my 50th birthday and had the tasting menu. 7 courses of the most amazing food with 4 different wines. All finished off with a Tiramisu birthday cake as a surprise. Service was excellent

Overall, a good restaurant. The food was good - fresh ingredients, good presentation, right size portions. The ambiance was nice. Price-wise I felt like anywhere in Venice the tourist tax was included. The service was ok. The waiters and staff were friendly, however we felt their efficiency could be improved - at times there were 5 of them around checking... More

Possibly 2 of the best seafood dishes I've had in Venice. Some really unique tastes. Probably a little pricey but that was expected. They gave us some a complimentary starter and dessert which were appreciated.

Three of us booked this place for a birthday meal. It was very good. We opted for the tasting menu - six courses. They prepped a special menu for me - gluten free. The food was first rate - very very good. The service was good too - friendly staff. We started with cocktails, which were terrific. Bill was 350... More

We chose lunch over dinner. It was by far the best meal we had during our 4 day stay in Venice. The restaurant is in a very high end, out-of-the-way boutique hotel. The lunch service was perfect and the food absolutely delicious. We didn't mind paying up a little. I'm sure they serve a glorious dinner, too. The restaurant is... More

It is supposed a michelin star restaurant, but the food is boring and definately not up to that standard. The pasta was not fresh, the chocolate dessert with simple cocao not with any touch of quality chocolate. I can go on and on - simply not worth a visit. T&C

Alle Corone is located in Al Reali hotel in the heart of Venice. The place is nice with excellent service yet overall value for money could be better, in particular if you go go for a la carte, not a tasting menu option. You would need to budget 100 Euro + for a 3 course dinner and the quality of... More

I really enjoyed dining in this out-of-view restaurant. The fish is very fresh and the pasta exceptional. Service is professional, neat and attentive. The view over the canal complements the atmosphere perfectly. When I went, the restaurant was rather quiet, making it a perfect place for couples who just want to savor some great food and wine in an elegant... More

I surprised my girlfriend by coming to Alle Corone for her 30th birthday. We both chose the Tasting Menu (75€ p/p) with matched wines (+25€ p/p). Despite, having accidentally stumbled upon and eaten in the Michelin Guide-listed 'Busa all Torre' on Murano earlier in the day and had an amazing time, Alle Corone raised the bar. Every course was stunning,... More

My wife and I had the six-course tasting menu along with 4 types of wine. At the end of the meal, we struggled to choose a 'best course' as they were all perfect! The locale was filled of tables with only couples, giving it a quiet, romantic atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive. It's not a surprise they are... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
