a friend that lives in Venice told me to get gelato here, so on the way back to my hotel we stopped here. I got strawberry and lemon, and both were very good. i kept meaning to go back for more, but the way i walked around took me away from where this place was, so i missed out.

I just had to wait 30 minutes to take my train and I discovered this Gelateria close to Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. The ice cream is very good and some tastes are quite particular. No seats available, but not far there's a park with benches.

We have been to this place many times. Absolute a favorite. If you fancy licorice they have a fantastic flavor. Hard to find anywhere else here in Venice. Good prices to!

Very good service. The taste was one of the best we tried around. The portions were also very good. Try it out!

This is only a 5 minute walk at most from the main bus terminal [Piazza Roma]. the excellent service and selection for gelato is second to none. We went 2 times in one day and were never disappointed.

A decent selection of some pretty damn good ice-creams served by a couple of nice people. Not much more you could ask for. I probably go more times than I calculate, to and from university. Both my waistline and delusion just keep growing.

Delicious refreshing gelato while strolling through venice. Nice choices and we opted for the coffee and tiramisu.

We found this gelateria while strolling along the canals in Venice entirely by accident. We couldn't resist stopping by. I had stracchiatella and my husband had plain chocolate. Both were delicious. We'd recommend the place to anyone who is craving something sweet.

Probably the best restaurant on the block. The rest are shocking. It sells the same as the rest of the ice cream sellers. But it's easy to use. Would I go again, only if passing.

Perfect little kiosk for gelato and the best lemon granita and very reasonable, lots of different flavours including liquorice, whilst we were there families were ordering litre tubs of ice cream to take home for dessert - obviously a well known Venetian favourite.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
